Just joined the College-Bound Family Society and Iโ€™m really grateful for the warm welcome As someone looking to better understand the college prep journey, I really appreciate how structured and supportive this space is especially for parents navigating this for the first time. Looking forward to learning, asking questions, and growing alongside everyone here. For parents further along this path whatโ€™s the one thing you wish you knew earlier about preparing for college? ๐Ÿ‘‡

@Beth Agnew I can definitely see your point. Every student is different, and it's important to give them room to grow while still preparing them for what's ahead. Finding that balance between planning early and not creating unnecessary pressure can make a big difference. It really has changed a lot compared to when we were applying. Have you found anything during this process that you wish more parents knew from the beginning?

@Beth Agnew I can imagine, It definitely seems like there's a lot more to juggle than there used to be. I like your attitude though taking it one step at a time and learning as you go is probably the best way to handle such a big process. I hope everything comes together smoothly for your family. I'm sure all the effort you're putting in now will be worth it in the end.

@Vonda Axe That's great to hear, A positive mindset goes a long way, and it sounds like he's putting in the work to give himself the best chance. I'm rooting for him and hope he gets the score he's aiming for. Be sure to let us know how it goes after the exam I'll be cheering him on!

@Gary Miller That sounds like a really thoughtful approach. It makes sense to keep her options open until she sees the acceptance letters and financial aid offers. Having those two tiers already is a big step and should make the final decision a lot easier. Wishing her the very best with the applications. It'll be exciting to see how everything comes together.
