🐾 Monkey's Corner – Tuesday Morning Haiku Jam! 🐾
Good morning, poets! It's Tuesday, and Monkey has a challenge for you. Today we're keeping it simple: a haiku. A haiku is just three lines: 5 syllables 7 syllables 5 syllables Write about anything that caught your attention this morning—a sunrise, a cup of coffee, birds outside your window, your dog snoring at your feet, or a single thought you just can't shake. The beauty of a haiku isn't in using big words. It's in capturing one small moment that says something much bigger. Drop your haiku in the comments, read a few from your fellow poets, and leave some encouragement along the way. Let's fill Monkey's Corner with tiny poems that leave a lasting impression. 🐾 Ready... set... haiku!

🐾 Monkey's Corner Prompt of the Day:
Write a poem about a place in nature that still holds someone's memory.
🐾 Monkey's Corner Prompt of the Day:
At a tender age, The crown covered by the duvet, A torch lit, accompanied me at night, Shhh!! Any shadows appearing under the door, Sketchbook, my favorite coloring pencils, my buddies- what fun I had, Curly lockets bobbing up and down, as if bowing to say hello, Ready, steady, go, pencils sharpened, My dream was materializing on crisp white paper, The visual in my mind dripped like liquid honey, energetically sliding to my fingers, It filled my sweetest nights; I was the director and producer, Lines and curves reproduced as I envisione, Aged textures, depth, towering strength, I could feel the energy unfurling, Calling it in magically, After about 10 days, on a walking trail, I spotted my beloved, Standing right in front of me, my Ancient Tree, just as imagined, I still embrace to this day, every moment I can, Not my own personal treehouse, only after I asked permission first. Our heart beat as one. WRITTEN BY ASCENDING UNIVERSAL BUTTERFLY🦋🦋🦋🦋

🏆 🌟 Poem of the Week Winner 🌟 🏆
A huge congratulations to @Timothy Lenhart Lenhart for being selected as this week's Poem of the Week with his heartfelt piece, "To Be Loved." Timothy's poem is a powerful reflection on vulnerability, hope, and the universal longing to be accepted for who we truly are. It reminds us that some of the strongest poetry comes from the quiet places we don't always share. Please join me in celebrating Timothy's incredible work! Leave him a comment, let him know what lines resonated with you, and show him some well-deserved love. 👏❤️ Congratulations again, Timothy! Your words touched our community this week, and we can't wait to see what you write next. Keep writing. Keep growing. Keep sharing your voice.

🐵 Monkey's Corner – Prompt of the Day ✍️
Prompt: "The Door I Almost Didn't Open" Write a poem about a door—real or symbolic—that changed everything. It could be a missed opportunity, a second chance, a new beginning, an unexpected friendship, or a path you were afraid to take. Bonus Challenge: Don't use the words door, open, or closed anywhere in your poem. Sometimes the moments that shape us begin with one simple choice. We can't wait to read where yours leads." 🐵📖✨

WALKING? NOTICING ~ PEERING REFLECTIONS The inner compass swivels, NORTH, SOUTH, EAST OR WEST, do I go? Rapidly the gaze scans like a robot, Compartmentalized cubbie holes marked by numerous labels, Walking through a human maze, The frame slows to a stuttering pace, Emotions arise like smoldering smoke, The sweetness and bitterness of current events, A film strip unravels; sounds boom: screams, delightful laughter, pain, and sorrow merge Proportions are shifting; the impact as it occurred, Pliable dimensions, just wanting to be caressed, Craving for attention, "Choose Me," Zooming and pulsating like a cinematic screen, Creatures huddled in dark corners, Little ones, reaching out their tiny hands, Fragrance wafting from freshly pruned roses, An empty swing, rocking backwards and forwards in the omnipresent breeze, Cradled and nurtured memories, are they mine or of an ancestral being? Swirling portals call the recipient's name, Echoes ping-ponging around my personal space, Changing shades of respective energies, Mimicking the brain's frequency and intercepting the mind's eye, The determination to allure, with false promises, and all that glitters, Ancestral and past lifetimes flash like lightning rods, I imagine growing roots in the Earth, grounding my vessel, Tendrils of vines reaching for Gaia's love, The luminosity of her crystalline heart brings a motherly embrace. Did I make the right decision, or was I taken in by the humdrum of the surrounding world? What's done is done; I won't let past choices lead me astray; the world is my oyster, and I will not be defined by yesterday! WRITTEN BY ASCENDING UNIVERSAL BUTTERFLY🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋
