Gaia - Week 0
Gaia is a 4-year-old Pitbull with some solid in-home training behind her, but she’s been struggling with reactivity—especially toward other dogs. She’s a sweet dog with a good heart, but her intensity and quick escalation make her a genuine bite risk in the wrong situations. Our work with Gaia this month is all about safety, clarity, and confidence. We’re going to help her slow down, think before reacting, and build the skills she needs to exist calmly around other dogs. That means structured obedience, state-of-mind work, and controlled setups that create real progress without putting anyone at risk. Her owner’s goal is simple: a dog who listens, walks well, and can enjoy life without stress or danger. Gaia’s a strong dog with a lot of potential—and I’m excited to show you what she’s capable of as we work through this together.

Chip - Week 0
Chip is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever who came to us with zero formal training but plenty of enthusiasm for “adventure.” His owners describe him as a sweet, energetic dog who struggles with boundaries—jumping fences and gates, wandering off, ignoring recall, and treating “place” as more of a suggestion than a command. He also needs help with crate confidence, leash manners, and learning how to slow down and stay connected to his people. Our goals for Chip this month are crystal clear: Build a reliable recall, create solid boundaries, improve crate skills, and teach him how to calmly stay where he’s asked. He’s a great dog with a ton of potential, and I’m excited to show you his progress over the next few weeks.

December Group - Welcome and Introductions
Hey everyone—Jeff here 👋 If your dog is part of our December Residency, this is where you’ll be able to follow along with their training in real time. Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting short videos introducing each dog, breaking down what we’re working on, and showing their progress exactly as it happens—good, bad, messy, exciting, all of it. My goal is simple: Give you a clear window into how your dog is learning, and give everyone else a behind-the-scenes look at what real, day-to-day training looks like inside Paradigm K9. You’ll see: - Early engagement and motivation work - Structure and home-life foundations - Leash work, obedience, and state-of-mind training - Real-world sessions in my home and neighborhood - Wins, setbacks, breakthroughs, and everything in between Feel free to comment, ask questions, or cheer your dog on. I’ll be updating this category several times a week so you can watch their transformation unfold. Excited to work with all of you—and even more excited to show you what your dogs are capable of. Let’s get started. 🐾💪

"This is quite a group of dogs" is an understatement. Lol but they are all going to be so much fun. I love getting to watch Jeff and Kayla work with dogs like these ones. It really lights a fire under them and the transformations are so fun to watch. I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I do 😊
Hey December Residency Group!
Hey everyone! I have created a discussion board for just the dogs who will be in our residency program in December. Since all the dogs will be on the same track, for the most part, we thought it would be fun for you guys to kind of meet each other, share pup stories, follow along with everyone's progress, and provide encouragement to one another. Feel free to introduce yourselves and your dogs! Can't wait to see everyone next week. Happy Thanksgiving! @Kara Drummond @Stacie Rhoades @Cameron Mann @Kalob Andrews

@Anissa Stark , in short, the residency program is our "board and train" program. So this is when the dog stays with us for 4 weeks. During that time, we teach the dogs all commands and introduce the e-collar. Then the owners have 6 coaching sessions to learn how to use the training and the communication system that was put in place while their dog was with us. So this discussion category is for our December group to share their stories, training challenges, and training successes. They start in the next couple days!
Heeling work
working on a moving heel, after implementing some engagement training using Jeffs method, and the difference is night and day! I have never had such great eye contact and engagement from Maisy when trying to get her to heel. We still have a ways to go, but we're definitely making some progress! 💪🏽
