Day 1
Day 1 Struggles - I sacrificed spending my 20s and 30s in my home country with my friends and family, moving to the US learning a new culture, learn a new language, being lonely, having 0 friends, very little money, and no clue what I would do with my life. - Addictions, and bad decisions. Due to loneliness I took bad decisions in the past which affected my life in every single aspect, financially, spiritually, and even risk my chances of staying in the country. - I am a procrastinator, I tend to want to achieve projects or imagine them. I do not put enough effort on doing them, therefore sometimes I feel I do not progress enough or as quickly as I would like to. Contrasting Wins: - At a young age (27), I sacrificed the comfort of my hometown and living with my parents and  moved from Mexico to what I think is the coolest city in the US, Miami. I learned work and life skills quicker than most of my friends. Getting out of the comfort zone, meeting new friends and people, even though I felt lonely and miserable at the beginning, made me who I am today. I now got a wife and recently we just had a daughter. Since my first year I moved in to Miami, I got a salary increase or promotion which allowed me to advance in my hospitality career and have a job that I love and feel comfortable with and allows me to pay the bills. Though the decision at the beginning was just a temporary adventure and I missed a lot of important times with family and friends in Mexico, it turned out to be the best decision I made in my life. - Those demons inside of me took me to bad places and bad relationships. However by touching bottom I learned from those mistakes and made radical changes in my life which took me where I am today. A loving family of my own, and a place the 3 of us call home. - I went from no money to having a modest apartment, then I was able to afford a 2nd one, now a respectable house, decent car, and living in one of the most trendy places on earth. I have helped people lose weight, I have great health for my age, enjoy time with my family, and have been able  to make additional income aside from my 9-5 job. Maybe I am not a procrastinator.
