Tell us about yourself and name your favorite personality assessment
I'll start -- I am a life and leadership coach, a former corporate learning & development professional, a loving husband, incredibly proud father, and a voracious reader. I've delivered countless corporate team sessions on various personality assessments (e.g. MBTI, StrengthsFinder, DiSC) and have coached individuals on how to leverage their assessment results. It's hard for me to choose a favorite assessment as nearly all of them have strengths. If pressed, I would pick the Myers-Briggs-Type-Indicator (MBTI). My results on the MBTI have served me well more times than I can count! Your turn!

@Duff Wrobbel I definitely agree that your true friends can more accurately describe you than any personality assessment. I've never been a fan of having people use their assessment results as "hard and fast descriptions" guaranteed to accurately predict behavior. Rather, I prefer to use them as tools that establish a framework that a team can leverage in discovery conversations (e.g. "Yeah, my MBTI results say I'm an extrovert, but some of what the booklet says about extroverts just doesn't fit me. For example, though I get energized by interacting with others, I don't like going to parties. Do you agree with everything that your profile says about you?" ) Also, and this is more on point with the intent of this community, I think that people can use whatever self-awareness they get from their results as potential guidance for personal development. Does that make sense?
