I remember creating multitracks with two portable cassette decks. Never looking back.
New mic
I have a home studio, but the mic I’m using was / is fairly cheap, and it’s hearable. The sound isn’t unbearable, but it isn’t as good as it can be. What mic do you use or would recommend?

Cheap mic does not necessarily mean it is a bad mic. How do you know it is bad?
Two mics on a vocal - two tracks
So I have checked polarity using the gain plugin to flip polarity we are all good - still sounds like a phaser effect (slightly) individual tracks sound fine - phase issues are normally left and right “speakers” that are not correctly aligned / my Adam’s are fine - it’s odd are my ears playing tricks with me ?

SO you recorded a vocal take with two mics, is that right? How did you place the mics?

Slight phase would indicate that the signal path differs between the two. Have you checked the wavs start at the same time?
AI...
AI.... SOooooo.... thought I might throw out a 'controversial' topic.... what do peeps think of using AI generated parts in their music? Are you having success? Inspiration? I know I have been very pleasantly surprised in a variety of ways and would love to hear your experiences. :D

@Nathan Hershfeld Does it matter, really? I mean, it is about how the *listener* feels, not about whether the creator has a soul or not.
Starting My New Journey: 2 Plugins Per Week | 8 Plugins Per Month | 96 Plugins Per Year
I finally did an inventory of all the plugins I own… and the number is around 300 🤯 But they are useless if I don’t truly know them. So I’m starting a long-term journey of studying and testing each plugin, beginning with the most important ones. My plan: - 2 plugins per week - 3 days study per plugin - at least 1 hour each day - Sunday review of both plugins That means 8 plugins per month and so 96 plugins per year. I’m committing to some understanding how each plugins shapes tone, dynamics, color, and workflow. It’s going to take time and patience. But honestly… there’s no other way. Is there? Gotta do it!

And when you're done, get yourself a copy of Amorph and start building your own plugins.
