🏆 Arham v Neno Round Results! 🏆
Neno sadly won't be able to continue (but fought very valiantly), so @Arham Aftab will advance to semifinals. I know this competition has gotten a bit scrappy the past few days, but let's finish out the last 2 rounds (Semifinals and Finals) in epic fashion. Here are the people in the Semifinals: @C Delaney @Deleted @Jason Parton @Arham Aftab For those four people, just comment below what day works over the next few days to do the rounds. If possible, it would be great if we could just do Semifinals April 15 and Finals April 16, but I know it may not be that simple. Sadly, if there are no days that work over the next week, you may just have to concede, as I really don't want to continue this for more than another week. I will get the Quarterfinals prizes sent out AFTER the Semifinals finish!

@Jason Parton ok I'll let you know. @John Hoegerl how would we have to go about it if I can't be available on both of those days

@John Hoegerl @Jason Parton I'll get back to you guys about the 16th. The 15th is not possible at all though.
Cheating on the Challenge will not be tolerated
@John Hoegerl @Habiba Basir @Alan P @Sadiqah Hossin @Jason Parton @Arham Aftab @Neno N We tried to warn multiple times that cheating or any kind of "strategies" will not be allowed during the challenge. Yet, some students just continue to look for ways to trick their way to some quick cash. This will not fly. It's unfair to the other students and it's just silly - we have full visibility over your activity during the challenge. We can see when you cheat. During this quarterfinal Sadiqah and Jason came up with the latest "strategy": 1. Start multiple study sessions at the same time. 2. Use some AI tool to get the correct answers. 3. Submit the answers when each individual clock is past 25 seconds to try to trick the analytics interface. Yet, during these 25 seconds, answers to multiple sessions are submitted. Attaching two data snapshots that show this pattern clearly. The result: Sadiqah - 12s median per question, over 2000+ HARD questions. Jason - 17s median per question, over 2000+ HARD questions. For reference, 1500+ scorers average 69 seconds on these questions. Anyone that knows how difficult the questions on Aniko can be doesn't need convincing that 12 and 17s per hard question is just ridiculous. Obviously the results of this match are nullified and the competitors are given a second chance just because of John's good heart. Yet, if we see any kind of cheating attempt again, disqualification is imminent. What constitutes cheating: Anything that goes beyond just solving Reading or Math study sessions, without any kind of outside help, tool or "strategy", like anyone would do during their prep. If the timing per answer, behavior or any kind of other data patterns deviate from the usual activity - it is considered cheating and leads to disqualification.

@Habiba Basir yeah I guess that could be one of the ways but obviously there are many possible variations in the sequence of those events you listed

@Habiba Basir All good. So imagine you open two study sessions at the same time. You solve Question A in 10 seconds, but don’t submit it yet. Meanwhile the timer for question B is running anyways. Then you switch to Question B and solve it in 20 seconds. Meanwhile the timer for question A is still running. After that, you submit both answers. So on paper, it looks like each question took 30 seconds, but in reality, you only spent 10 seconds on one and 20 on the other. By overlapping multiple sessions like this, you can make your average time per question look much slower than it actually is, even though you're answering way faster.
RESULTS OF THE QUARTERFINALS ROUND
So...yet again some weird stuff in the Quarterfinals Round between @Jason Parton and @Sadiqah Hossin. It appears that both competitors basically had multiple study sessions going at once and were likely using AI to answer the questions. This is practically confirmed, as I do not think there is even enough hours in the day to do the amount of questions that each supposedly did, according to the time limits. As a result of this, I am going to give both competitors another day to compete in the challenge normally. I thought this was implied by the original rules, but: - You CANNOT use AI in this challenge. Yes, we can tell if you are, guys! Aniko has really good data. - You CANNOT have multiple study sessions going on at once. This results in the average times APPEARING greater than 25s but in actuality being less for the amount of time you actually took. Jason and Sadiqah can comment below another day that would work for them. The match between @Shubho Mehedi and @Zai will occur today as normal. I am sorry that we cannot get a more clear winner yet! I also apologize to them for having done all these questions just to not win, but these are things that they should have ASKED me about before trying, as they are clearly weird strategies.

@Neno N @John Hoegerl I'm really sorry but I won't be able to do it for a few days after the 14th. I'd already cleared up my schedule and stuff for the 14th: like I literally told the construction workers not to come on the 14th and come the next day instead so I'll be busy with that again.
I Am so scared to go Aganist Jason

@Jason Parton don't you guys have school or something
the 'march madness' is over bro
so i looked over all of the march madness brackets and they're actually all busted. no perfect brackets left, mostly because of the upset of sadiqah beating triv, but yeah. kinda interesting to look at.
