When I entered this space, I was a bit intimidated, not sure if I would fit in or if I would find community. But the conversations, the kindness, and the warmth I am experiencing have reinforced a core tenet: humanity is all we have, and that in itself is a superpower.

Hey, y'all! This was on my heart to share with the group this morning. First of all, congratulations to every single semi-finalist in this group. If you have not had a moment to scream out loud - "I am a TEDx Semi-Finalist for TEDx Third Ward and that is #!@#ing amazing!" - take a moment to do so now. Ok, next up - a message for those NOT doing the bootcamp. It is okay. You've got this. Review the link Durrel shared in the 10/1 post which shares all the things to consider for your next video - it will help you. Remember, you are here for a reason, you are capable and your idea is worth sharing. Focus and do not let the doubts enter your mind. Again, it is okay, we cannot do all the things all of the time (speaking to myself as well, as I am not doing the bootcamp 😅). Now for those who ARE doing the bootcamp. Congrats and may you receive the wisdom offered to help you along your TEDx journey. I know it will be phenomenal! Also, remember as Durrel shared - take what applies to you and leave the rest. It is easy to be overwhelmed with input. Trust your gut. For everyone - we are all amazing and deserving of being here and of course have big dreams to land on the red dot. I have appreciated the energy and wonderful connections in this group thus far, keep uplifting each other along the way. This energy is what the world needs more of, especially right now. Refer back to the first paragraph, repeat again 😜, and go have an amazing Thursday!
