The Seven Promises of My Sanctuary These are not rules. They are promises every person who enters My Sanctuary can count on. If someone attends a retreat ten years from now, these promises should still be true. If another facilitator one day represents My Sanctuary, these promises should still guide them. They become your culture. The Seven Promises of My Sanctuary Every person who enters My Sanctuary carries a story. Some stories are spoken. Some are hidden. Some have been carried in silence for years. We may never know everything someone has lived through, but we can choose how we welcome them. These are the promises that shape every interaction, every conversation, and every experience within My Sanctuary. Promise One We Create Safety Before We Seek Solutions Healing does not begin with advice. It begins with safety. Before we explore change, we create an environment where people can breathe, soften, and know they are accepted without judgment. Safety is never rushed. It is earned through consistency, presence, and compassion. Promise Two We Listen Before We Lead Every person deserves to be heard before they are guided. We resist the urge to fix. Instead, we listen with curiosity, empathy, and respect. Often, the greatest gift we can offer is our full presence. Promise Three We Honor Every Story No story is too messy. No pain is too small. No person is beyond hope. We do not compare suffering or measure worth by circumstances. Every experience deserves compassion. Every person deserves dignity. Promise Four We Move at the Pace of Trust Healing cannot be forced. Growth cannot be hurried. People unfold when they feel ready—not when they feel pressured. We honor each person's unique journey and trust that meaningful transformation happens one courageous step at a time. Promise Five We Protect Dignity in Every Interaction Every person who enters My Sanctuary is worthy of respect. We choose words that uplift rather than shame. We create space for choice rather than control.
