This morning I felt a pull in my spirit. I am looking for open conversation here; who is ready to dive in? As much as I’ve been hearing about the power of “manifestation” and leaning into the 8/8 portal energy, I paused. I couldn’t shake the need to stay grounded in truth—not culture. I’m all for vision, intention, and faith-filled action... but I never want to share a message that puts me at the center of it all. God is. Manifestation, as it's often shared online, can quickly become a self-centered pursuit that says I create my reality, when the truth is: God is the Creator. I’m a co-laborer with Him. But many believe the Universe speaks to them and enhances their power on today, August 8th (The Lion's Gate Portal). Your thoughts? While I absolutely believe in dreaming big, setting goals, declaring promises, and expecting miracles, I also believe that the most powerful “manifestation” is full surrender. It’s trading hustle for obedience, striving for trust, and making space for Him to move in ways we never could have planned. Tonight we’re opening our home and hearts in a new way, and it’s reminding me of a deeply personal part of my story. We are hosting a foreign exchange student from Spain and I feel honored and blessed to get to love and support her during her time in the US. Our family is excited to meet her this evening and I have prayed for her since the day I "met" her in the process! ➡️If you do not know this about me: I was adopted as an infant. A near "abortion story" turned into something beautiful. A family that took me home from the hospital and gave me the life God had planned for me all along! "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be." - Psalm 139:16 ✝️ Naturally, adoption has always been close to my heart — it’s shaped how I see family, connection, and love without boundaries. What a blessing it's been to me and a passion-project I have for the future. It's one of my WHY stories in building this business... 🙌🏼 So... Welcoming our foreign exchange student tonight feels like another chapter in that same story… proof that family is built by choice, commitment, and love. While she is only here temporarily, I truly feel like God is placing us in each other's lives for a reason. And I hope you'll join me in praying for this chapter of our story. I can’t wait to share more with you soon — and I’d love to hear your own stories of family in its many forms. 💗
