Enterprise Experience with Apify for Google Reviews, Facebook & Instagram Scraping
Hi, Has anyone been using Apify long-term for Google Reviews, Facebook, or Instagram scraping in a production application? We're planning to use Apify in an enterprise application to collect Google Reviews, Facebook comments, and Instagram comments for our brand pages. I'm more interested in understanding the long-term operational and platform risks from teams that have been running this approach successfully. Specifically: Have you experienced Google or Meta restricting or suspending any Business Profiles, Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, Business Manager, or Ad Accounts that were associated with your organization? If so, what was the cause, and how did you resolve it? What best practices have you followed to minimize the risk of platform restrictions? Have you encountered any legal or compliance challenges? How long have you been using Apify for this use case? Thanks in advance!

@Smith Olanrewaju - Yes, I've scraped personal accounts and a few other social media accounts to verify the setup, and we haven't noticed any technical issues so far during short-term testing. However, my primary concern is the long-term risk. Since this will be an enterprise-scale deployment, I want to be certain we don't use any patterns that could flag or negatively impact official brand assets or ad accounts over time. Apart from Apify, have you tried BrightData & Sprinklr?

Curious what stack everyone here is using for retrieving: โ€ข Facebook commentsโ€ข Instagram commentsโ€ข Instagram/Facebook DMsโ€ข Google reviews via APIs for further AI processing or automation workflows. Right now Iโ€™m exploring options beyond Sprout Social & Brandwatch because they get expensive quickly at scale. Some tools/APIs Iโ€™ve looked into so far: - Meta Graph API - Instagram Messaging API - Google Business Profile API - Unipile - Respond.io - Apify Would love to know: 1. @Ben Hsiao - Please update me also if you receive any reply from them. How do you reach out to them? I mostly use n8n community option. But they don't respond their. Also, there is no option to create support ticket in cloud version.

@Ben Hsiao - Yes, the correct permissions need to be configured. Since my client cancelled this workflow, Iโ€™ve moved on to the next one. I will also review this issue later. Please keep me posted if you manage to resolve it. Thanks for sharing your troubleshooting details here.

@Mharaj Alam - IMAP trigger sends email details to my next node in workflow once new email receives. I process & save it. It works perfectly for new emails but sometimes it executes workflow even though no new email received in inbox.

@Noel Doe - I haven't modified pooling interval. Currently using IMAP default settings. I may receive 2-3 emails in one minute. That's why I haven't changed pooling setting.
