Introduce yourself!
I want to start with a question. 👇 Before I share anything about gut health, triggers, or food — I want to know about YOU. My name is Áine. I became an IBS nutritionist because people close to me were suffering and the advice they were getting simply wasn't working. I know how exhausting it is to feel like your own body is working against you. So tell me — in one sentence or as many as you like: 👉 How long have you been dealing with IBS? 👉 What's the ONE thing that affects your life the most? It might be the anxiety before eating out. The unpredictability that makes planning anything feel impossible. The brain fog. The bloating that no diet has ever fully fixed. Whatever it is — share it here. No judgement. No generic advice in return. Just me reading every single response and genuinely wanting to understand where you are right now. This community only works if it's built around what YOU actually need — and this is how I find that out. I'll go first. 👇 The thing that struck me most working in this area was how isolated people felt. Not just physically — but the feeling that nobody truly understood how much space IBS takes up in your head. That's exactly why this community exists. Your turn. 🌿 — Áine

For 6 to 7 years or probably more than that. Going through this feels extremely isolating. Nobody around me truly understand what I am dealing with. To them it is simply using the toilet a little more often. Thats all.
