phenomenal - even though its been a few weeks, i do feel i have moved light years ahead with lead playing than where i was.
Biggest roadblock in your practice?
What’s your biggest practice struggle right now? Picking speed? Legato? Staying consistent? Something else? Drop your #1 challenge below, I’ll share my take on the most common ones.

Mine is remembering scales and then trying to break out of the boxes. I would just like to remember them as they go out of my head very easily. Oh also lead playing has always been a struggle for me as you know.
What do you love doing outside of music?
We all know we’re here because we love to play guitar, but what other things are you into? I’ll list a few things that I like to do to start things off Working out I lift and run pretty much daily. Then we have the dog walks of course. MMA I used to do some Karate and Judo back in the day but now I settle for watching the UFC. I rather crack a beer and watch other grown ups smack each other around😁 Movies & Series I love finding a new series to binge with the wife, we’re out of stuff to watch now so we’re currently rewatching The Sopranos. I also read a lot, both fiction and non-fiction and once GTA VI or the next Elder Scrolls game is out I’ll pick up the controller again. Enough about me, what about you?

@Jon Bjork similar to you. I go to the gym, run 5k at least twice a week. In my youth it was also a lot of martial arts. When i started playing i had been doing tae kwon do for 5 years - did that till i went to uni and uni took over. Then went back to another Korean martial arts at 30 then took up BJJ until i injured me knee. Now its just gym, running, cinema etc. I know youll ask - so i got 6th dan in Tae Kwon Do; 2nd Dan in Kuk Sool Won and Blue Belt in BJJ.
Thailand is amazing!
First trip to Siam here, such a cool place. Great food (especially when sticking to where the locals eat.) and amazingly friendly people. One thing that trips my ocd hard is the “organisation” of electrical wiring😅 Sweden is such a nanny state when it comes to rules and regulations to the point where you’re not allowed to do the electrics in your own house unless you’re a certified electrician. You can but then your insurance company won’t cover any mishaps. So the way they do it here is a bit special, the video is from Bangkok so not a rural area😬

@Jon Bjork Hua Hin is lovely. We were there in March along with a few days in Bangkok. Make sure you go up the night market in Hua Hin and try some of the sea food especially the fried fish.
What’s a guitar solo that never gets old for you?
Not necessarily the fastest or most complex, just the one that hits you every time. Drop a YouTube link with a timestamp so we can all check it out right away. Could be something that made you fall in love with guitar… or just one that gives you chills no matter how many times you hear it. Let’s build a little inspiration thread here. Curious to hear what’s shaped your playing. Here's one of mine: Steve Lukather's improvised solo to 'Georgy Porgy' live in Paris. Amazingly melodic and full of cool ideas. The fact that he just pulled that off in the moment makes it even scarier.

Myles Kennedy’s and Mark Tremonti’s solos in blackbird are exceptional and portray quite a lot of emotion in them. Technically Tremonti’s one is excellent but I can’t get anywhere near as fluid on the legato parts at the end. https://youtu.be/sevet4zjf7Y?si=H5ypPVourWYldCyc
