Rhodonite vs. Rhodochrosite
At a glance, they both sit in that pink family… but the way they show up feels very different once you know what to look for. Rhodonite (Pictures 1 & 2) Rhodonite is usually a deeper pink with bold black veining running through it.That black comes from manganese, and it gives the stone a kind of grounded, earthy look. This is the one that feels like: “Okay… let’s actually work through this.” It’s tied into emotional processing, especially around old wounds, triggers, and reactions. There’s a steady, supportive energy here that helps us stay with ourselves while we sort things out. It doesn’t push us through healing, it helps us regulate and respond instead of react - and helps us rebuild trust with ourselves over time. Rhodochrosite (Pictures 3 & 4) Rhodochrosite is usually lighter pink with soft white or cream banding.Sometimes it almost looks like ribbons or swirls. This one feels more like: “Let’s open that heart back up.” There’s a strong connection to self-worth, love, and emotional nourishment. It ends to bring things up around how we’ve been treated, how we treat ourselves, and where we may be ready to soften. It can feel more tender… sometimes even a little vulnerable… but in a way that supports real healing and compassion. The quick way to tell them apart - Rhodonite → darker pink + black veins → grounding + working through emotions - Rhodochrosite → lighter pink + white bands → heart opening + self-love Both are powerful in their own way. One helps us process and stabilize… the other helps us feel and open up. And they actually pair really well together when we’re doing deeper emotional work.

Two of my favorite stones 💖
Crystal Spotlight: Labradorite
Labradorite feels like that quiet moment where something deeper begins to rise. It is visible when you look at Labradorite as the light hits it at different angles - you start to see the beautiful colors and shine in the lower layers of the stone. The energy is a subtle shift where your awareness expands a little and you realize there’s more going on than what’s on the surface. It has this way of pulling your attention inward while still keeping you grounded enough to function in the world. There’s a sense of curiosity with it too, like exploring parts of yourself that you may not have fully seen yet. It tends to support intuition in steady and usable way. Like it's strengthening a signal that was already there rather than forcing anything open. Physical Overview Labradorite is a feldspar mineral, specifically a plagioclase feldspar, and it’s known for that signature flash called labradorescence. That shimmer comes from light reflecting between internal layers within the stone. - Composition: Calcium sodium aluminum silicate - Hardness: 6 – 6.5 - Color: Typically gray to dark gray with flashes of blue, green, gold, and sometimes purple - Luster: Vitreous with iridescent play of color - Localities: Canada (Labrador), Madagascar, Finland, Russia Physically, it’s often associated with the nervous system and brain activity, especially where perception, processing, and sensory input come into play. Energetic & Metaphysical Qualities Labradorite is often called a stone of intuition and inner sight, but it’s not in a way that pulls you out of your body. It actually helps create a bridge between what you’re sensing internally and how you move through your day. There’s a stabilizing quality to it. If your awareness tends to drift, this helps bring it back into a usable range so you can trust what you’re picking up without getting overwhelmed by it. It can also act like a filter - softening the noise so your own signal is easier to hear. That’s especially helpful for people who are sensitive to environments or other people’s energy.

My daughter's favorite 💖
By Request Cabochons for Sale - Coral Fossil
Pictures below. $9 each. Claim by responding to the picture, "Claim" or "Sold" or something similar. I do layaway or can hold a basket for a limited time, until you are ready to pay. Free shipping over $75 Fossil Coral has a very different kind of presence. It feels ancient, steady, and deeply rooted, like something that has seen a lot of change and learned how to hold through it. There’s a quiet rhythm to it that seems to help us settle into our own natural cycles instead of pushing against them. It can bring a sense of calm stability, especially when life feels uncertain or in transition. Rather than trying to organize everything quickly, this one supports patience, letting things unfold in their own timing while keeping you grounded and supported through the process.

Pictures below. $9 each. Claim by responding to the picture, "Claim" or "Sold" or something similar. I do layaway or can hold a basket for a limited time, until you are ready to pay. Free shipping over $75 Idocrase, also known as Vesuvianite, has this really steady, organizing kind of presence, but there’s also a warmth to it that sits right in the heart space. It feels like something that helps pull scattered pieces back into place while gently reconnecting you to a sense of love and quiet joy. Not an overwhelming kind of emotion, more like a soft return to feeling open, steady, and okay in your own space. When things feel chaotic or heavy, this is one that can help you sort through it without overwhelm while keeping your heart engaged, so you’re not just pushing through, you’re actually feeling your way forward with a bit more ease and lightness.

@Robin Lewis what is the size of this piece?
What A I? #4
ANSWER REVEALED BELOW ------------------------------------------- MATERIAL: I am a sodium aluminum silicate mineral. DESCRIPTION: I am deep blue in color from the sulfur trapped inside the crystal structure and have white streaks running through me. I do not contain metallic inclusions (like pyrite) nor lazurite. FORMATION: I form in metamorphic rocks such as marble. METAPHYSICAL USES: I am believed to support communication, truth, and mental clarity. It was really hard to find an image that didn't give it away. These might, but here goes...
