I love my GALS
I love my gals (Chickens), but I do find them very testing at times. I had a real challenge integrating a new flock with the old gals. It put my patience to the TEST! So much so, I am making my next video about it!

@Kayleen West that’s one of the reasons - nature for me. Plus, I read because they are bred for Australian conditions they are better with the heat, etc.

@Kayleen West yes, I read they can’t cool themselves so anything over 26 degrees you have to be careful. We recently purchased cheap shade cloth panels from Temu - specifically for the hothouse, however had one spare and put one over the coop. Surprisingly it has worked in keeping that burning heat off the hothouse so I’ve been able to keep plants in there longer. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with these 30-degree days. However it’s worked a treat for shading the coop, too.
Little walk and chat on the farm
I wasn’t going to put these up but I sent to Marty as I figured he would appreciate a better look at Marty’s Pride. But Marty said share so if you want to watch and listen feel free if not Marty has videos on the tube you can get better info from and not waste time on these

Living the dream! Lots of room for incredible projects, etc.
Local Saltwater Creek
Good morning all. Not gardening related, but this is one of my favourite spots to walk my dogs early in the morning. Sorry for the glitchy end of the 2nd video, I encountered too much shrubbery.

Tomato chilli challenge
So as you guys know I started some tomatoes a couple of months ago and they didn't work I they died ,we have started again, today I have the day off, so I've done my first 90 seedlings for my tomato chili challenge. It looks like a lot but one of these trays is going to my mother-in-law's house I didn't actually get to plant out all of the varieties yet because there's 10 plants of each within those trays so I still need to do some succession planting with the rest of the varieties and try those maybe next month. In here I have money maker, Roma, banana legs, sugar lump, blue Gold, I snuck some extra luffas in here.. And for the chilies I have planted siam, Thai and fire and ice. Varieties that I still have to plant in January/February...principe Borghese, yellow tommy toe, Amish paste, gold nugget, beefsteak, yellow stuffer and brown Berry

Much success with these, Lorna. I haven’t even heard of some of these and look forward to pictures once they grow big and strong!
Part of my garden
This part of the garden is slowly getting there with calendula, potatoes, corn, grapes, capsicums, and bulbs.

Looks great, Sandra. Well done! Calendula is one of my favourite plants/herbs - the plant that keeps on giving.
