Honey
Iโ€™ve never kept bees ๐Ÿ and a few weeks ago I was kindly offered 5 hives 1 of them was had bees in. Now I have no fixed abode so I donated 2 of the hives to @Andrew Munro and sent the other 3 to a friend in Somerset. Since then Iโ€™ve ended up on my friends small holding with the bees in Somerset running the vegetable gardens. So this week Iโ€™ve been playing with honey lots of honey as the hiveโ€™s although they had no bees were full of honey. So here is a few pics of my last few days ๐Ÿ˜Š

We are only just getting going
Hi Community hope you guys are al well, busy day out yesterday addressing a room of around 60 people from farmers to the public looking at the amazing work that we witnessed in and around the UK on our travels last year. We are seeing more and more people looking for fresh chemical free food direct from the growers and producers and this is just the beginning. As we approach 100 members in this group we would ask you all to give thought to what you want from this group......lets not be a talk shop lets be a place of knowledge and inspiration :-)

@Mark Byford Good!
Does this already exist?
Hey guys Growing is kinda the easy bit, what I would find tremendously useful, where my knowledge is desperately lacking, a calender, not your average one, but one where you can follow exactly in order to sustain yourself, not just a when to plant Jobby!! So when and what varieties to plant for say potatoโ€™s, plant in a poly tunnel ie now, move outside ie ? โ€ฆ harvest ? And how many plants for one personโ€ฆ. 2 person etc, enabling one to harvest potatoes all year round. Using all the good healthy varieties not just your bog standards. Ok, if this already exists I appologise, I am always late to the party !!

Yeah, thanks Mark.๐Ÿ™ Sounds like an interesting and knowledgable man.
So what comes next ?
We are now at 86 members and we would like your thoughts as the community where we take this group on Skool. Our thoughts are we build a like minded community that shares the same thoughts and feelings about the food supply and how we might rightly prepare for what's coming. The Classroom section on Skool would allow us to have a library of E-Books Videos Courses etc that fit what the community would make use of. So what might that information look like to you guys ? Drop us a note to let us know what you would like to see information on and I you feel you have something to offer. A point was raised the other day would we charge for the use of the site and the information? Our thoughts are we want to keep joining the community FREE and that a large % of the classroom would be 100% FREE (HOWEVER) There maybe time to time things in the Classroom that we will need to pay for and that that money would go to the Community Interest Foundation CIC. (What's your thoughts) Obviously its optional to purchase those things. But some people have said if we make the classroom content of real value they would rather pay a one off fee to join the Skool. The Community Interest Foundation CIC funds FoodFindersHub.org FFTRadio.com and now this Skool so everyone over to you Ladies and Gents Let me know ๐Ÿ˜€

I reiterate what both Nikki and Richard have said. I would like to see 'how to' type videos focusing on what to do at what time of year, so like a diary/calendar to grow seasonally. I'm old enough to remember having to wait until the autumn for apples! We dis bottle and dehydrate our apples and pears so that we could enjoy them through into the spring though. Also maybe what to do with gluts, apart from bartering, selling and donating ie. preserving them, by all the different methods available, to get us through the 'hungry' time ( like now), not to mention, the hunger games! Listen to the song by Jez Hellard called Canned Goods (I love irony) It it reminds me of my mum and our cellar full of Kilner jars
