Podcasting with your learners/clients?
@Leonardo Gomes and I are presenting at the TBLT 2025 research conference in a few weeks on podcasting as a task type. We'll be focusing on the Willis framework of TBLT. In preparation for the talk, we'd love to incorporate teacher perspectives on podcasting. If you have a few seconds, please answer the poll here. If you have a few more seconds, drop a comment below quickly detailing how you've used podcasting in your classes (as a task, assessment, homework, or other). "Podcast" can be a loose definition (even if you had students record conversations). Have you used them before? How did it go?

Recording: Ask Me Anything Tech Workshop
Thanks to those who came out to our tech workshop today: @Julieta Neira, @Anna Torr, @Esther Rebecka Mantelli, @Lori DeChellis and @Helen Lewis We looked at: - adding non-linked landing pages to the primary navigation in Squarespace - embedding MailerLite email forms onto landing pages - anchoring sections of a landing page - Google Workspace vs Microsoft I hope the session was helpful. Would you like this to be a recurring session for tech-related support, questions, and workarounds?

Tech Savvy Workshop: Questions?
*Post your tech questions below 😎 Happy Friday, all! Next week on Wednesday I'm running an "Ask Me Anything Tech" workshop. You can see it on the calendar here: https://www.skool.com/lye-high-achieving-teachers-9491/calendar?eid=78533b24e03540fdba64144d4d492fbf In preparation, kindly add your tech-related questions below and I'll add them to the list. It can be simple or complex and we'll get through as many as we can, with examples and going through enabling the use cases in real time. Some areas of tech are far reaching, so the more specific the question the better. For instance, instead of "how to set up my mailing list" it could be "how to create an opt-in form and add it to my landing page." I'm also thinking of making this kind of workshop regular (monthly?) as tech question do come up frequently and we want to add as much support there as possible. Add your questions below and I'll add them to the list. Have an awesome weekend and see you next week!

I'm also interested in understanding Carrd better. I tried creating a sectioned site from their template, but the buttons don't work as at their demo-version of that template. Probably it's because I'm working under a free account. Would be happy to know and understand more)))

@Andrew Woodbury Carrd sectioned demo site is this one: https://carrd.co/dashboard/build/demo/0ae7df95bd62b9ab My draft is here: https://wetalktodevelop.carrd.co/#one As for the site-builder choice - I need a tool to make a several pages (or simulation of that) site in the simplest way. I used Mailerlite for my landing pages before, but the free account has a limit of pages in one site which I exceeded. Wix and Squarespace seem to demand much more time to get harnessed - don't they? See you tonight!😀
End of Pilot Program
Hello everyone! I just wanted to keep you posted. Last week my pilot program came to an end, so this week I'm meeting individually with all participants and recording the sessions to then edit them and get testimonials to add to my IG account. I'm going to speand these next 2 weeks making some modifications to the program and redoing some of the videos I've created. At the same time I'm planning on creating content on my IG to get people familiarised with my niche and mission. Hopefully get some leads and in a few weeks offer the1.0 v. of the program. One thing I've done with my learners is to ask them to come up with names for the program after they completed the 4 weeks. They brought in some interesting suggestions. It's been a nice way to keep them engaged, but also to see what kind of language they use to express their transformtion. After that I created a poll and asked them to vote. The most voted one will be the winner. Let's see! For now, these are the top 3: - Find your English Potential - Unblock your English - Face your fears in English What do you think about these names? Any feedback will be really appreciated! Thanks for reading and all the best with your projects!

Congrats with the program done! I vote for "Unblock your English" - it implies that you need just turn a switcher to let English play. While the other two are more negative.
