It’s a question I get asked often and the answer lives somewhere between ancient wisdom and lived experience. Dreamweaving is the art of active imagination as a creative practice to develop the fabric of reality. It’s the ability to drop into your inner world through dreams, symbols, and soul language and work with those insights as real fuel for how we construct the world around us. I practice active imagination and active dreaming like a craft, because it is one. It was born from my zero point after burning out as a global executive in the very pinnacle of a role I had built from nothing, leading me to fully surrender. In the surrender to silence, I remembered what I had frozen in myself since childhood: the radical right to play, to imagine, to trust what lives inside. From what became a practice of mine, named itself: Dreamweaving. Happy Sunday dear one, I've been reflecting on the notion of 'Heart's Desire' and it's relation to the way the world around us is so full of sharing ideas of what you should want and have, without helping you orient towards your inner ear. This is what Disney understood and portrayed in many of his films - for example, The Little Mermaid, Soul, Coco, Brave, Cinderella, Beauty & The Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, and so many more! The heart’s desire is always specific, elemental, and very much rooted in your soul's essence. Our world is very good at teaching us to want things centered around status, while bypassing the souls 'currency'. This currency runs on nature, beauty, and flow. To live well is to hold both. The material and the luminous. The practical and the poetic. The plan and the longing underneath it. AND YET: you have to know what you actually long for. Here are three questions to reflect with this week: 1. What have you always wanted that you have never quite given yourself permission to say out loud? 2. Where in your life are you working very hard, and for whose dream? 3. If you stripped away every obligation and expectation, what would you spend a Tuesday on?
