A Retreat
Sometimes the BEST vacations are those that don't require you to go far from home ... A 3 night getaway with a spectacular view and the delight of nature is truly soothing for the nervous system. The kids have spent hours in the water - kayaking, swimming, fishing, etc - and the reprieve is so good for all of us! Sometimes a lil vacation and a change of scenery helps regulate all of us and hrs in nature help us truly value each other and make memories together. What is your favorite way to recharge and spend quality time together as a family?

I'm so grateful to be sitting on my couch with my feet up... It's been a full week with several big events - one being a brother's wedding today! It truly was a beautiful day! I've walked many many steps the past few days... Sometimes big family events can feel like a lot - especially when there have been seasons of heartache.... So all week I've been careful to practice the thoughts I want to think and reminding myself that I don't need to perform for anyone. It paid off and I am incredibly grateful! How are you "resting" this wkend?

Setting Intentions
How many of you plan out your week? I used to fly by the seat of my pants and thought I was doing life quite well .. come to realize I often feel disorganized and unfinished. So, I'm learning to map out my week - plan out my workout days, meal prep and assign meals to my days, put in appointments, the kids games, etc all on one page then fill in each day as I get to it .. It's so helpful to keep everything in one place. How do you plan your week?

I do half/half.. I have a set of schedule but I also have some free time to do “out-of-the-blues.”
