Halfway Point
Time flies right! How are we already half way through 2026? 🤔 How are you getting on with your annual goals? I personally did not hit my 6 month targets, but that's okay, there is still plenty of time to finish the year strong. Rather than focus on what you might not have accomplished yet, focus on the amazing things you have done so far this year! Maybe you had some unexpected events, good or bad that changed the speed or trajectory of your plans. That is totally okay. Whenever I make plans I expect them to change. Some things I planned are further behind than I'd hoped and some things are further ahead than I'd imagined. Who knows what will happen between now and the end of the year. A lot can change in just a few short months, so really anything is possible. Happy end to Q2 and here's to Q3! Good luck! What is one thing you'd like to push forward in the next quarter of the year and do you need any support? Architect Anna

My Balcony is Gross
I absolutely love where I live, but my balcony is not a place I spend any time because it's gross. One downside to living in a penthouse is there is a lot bird poop from the birds that perch in the roof. So I decided as a birthday gift to myself to get the balcony cleaned up and give it a makeover! I used AI to help redesign the space, research items in my budget and render out visuals of the designs as they progressed. It only took a few hours from start to finish when I ordered new flooring, a divider, plant pots, and a furniture set. I'm on my way to B&Q now to grab plants and then we will see how it turns out. AI can help you do amazing things, but in this case, it's just a balcony :) I hope you're having a lovely weekend! Architect Anna

Yes that is an AI generated image of my balcony design @Shana Burg thank you! There was a mix up with the plant potter delivery so the design has changed a little, but plants and lights are all that is left. The divider panels are up, the floor is down, the chairs are painted and I got a new furniture set as well, it already looks so much better. There should be some nice summer nights on the balcony ahead! I hope you had a great weekend :)
Building my AI Brain!
I joined an 8 week cohort to help build my AI second brain. Normally I am the one doing the AI training so this is a nice change of pace. As I'm sure you're aware, there is just so much to learn about AI it is really hard to keep up even if you do it full time. This was a special opportunity to learn from others who have spent months testing AI agents and automation systems. Now I can upskill really quickly, ask THEM questions, have accountability from the rest of the cohort and progress my work in the next 2 months. Very exciting! I'm jazzed, learning is the best! Honestly just from the first session I already feel like my 24 month goals are so much for feasible and anchored in reality rather than wishful thinking. Imagine having all of your ideas, thoughts, plans, skills, taste in an AI who has full persistent context and memory and can then actually execute tasks for you. You may have heard of people doing this, but the gap between 'wow that sounds cool' to 'wow I'm actually building this for myself' can feel massive. There are privacy rules around what I can share from this cohort, but I'm hoping I will succeed with building my AI second brain in the next 7 weeks (at least the first version) and be able to share the results here with you! Rather than try to build the brain to know and do everything from the start I am focusing it on marketing and sales only to help me reach the next stage of my goals by the end of this year. This will include a chat interface with the AI brain on my phone and a progress dashboard that will automatically update as I progress. (For context, I created a 60 year plan when I was 17, with 4 core phases, each roughly 15 years and I am currently in Stage 0 of Phase 2. Hoping to enter Phase 2 Stage 1 by the end of this year! That would be full financial autonomy and earning consistent £20k+ months, then I can move on to the next part of the plan woohoo, let's go!) Summer is a great time to upskill and build things while business is a bit slower. Things are very likely to pick up quickly from the start of September. What learning goals do you have this summer?

Using Teams for training
I have a copilot training scheduled. The company wants to use Teams instead of Zoom. My presentation is created in Canva. I spent—I kid you not—4 hours trying to figure out how to share the presentation via Teams. I finally figured out it only works to share my Canva presentation if I connect with the desktop version and not the browser. Am I missing something? Would love to know if you’ve experienced this too

Hi, I've presented with Canva a bunch of times on teams, all on a browser through sharing a window or full screen, but if you mean in presenter mode, then I'm not sure, I tend to just do the full screen canva option. One thing I do is also have a pdf version of the slides on my second screen so I can follow along and make sure I always know what is coming next and can check on my pacing throughtout. This is also helpful in case there is another AWS or cloudflare outage and canva goes down, pdf backups are a life saver. Alternatively you could export your presentation from Canva as a powerpoint file, open it up in powerpoint and that might be more compatible with what you are trying to do in teams. You can also set powerpoint to live translate what you are saying if you have an audience speaking a different language, which works best if you have a head set and speak slowly. I'm not sure if that answered your question, but let me know if you have any follow ups :D

I am currently using a PC @Shana Burg , but my next computer will likely be a mac, so will likely run into new problems. I hope the situation improves!

Amazing, thank you @Shana Burg ! I have added that topic to the episode list and will let you know when it will be scheduled. I found the sales course very helpful as someone who had never done sales before, I learned a lot, got support and started selling for a company to get practice, so that was all good. It was more B2C sales training though and not really executive level personas so not totally applicable, but still good. I think getting good at sales is necessary for selling high ticket (£1000+), social media is good for lower ticket sales and for building authority and trust. I have warm leads and partnership requests coming in because of my social media content, they know they already want to work with me, it is just a negotiation at that point. There is value in both, it depends on your goals and what your strengths are, always play to your strengths. Wow 800 doors that's amazing and I love how you count them! I will bring it back again, and I wonder how many doors I'm at now 🤔 I don't think I'm at the halfway mark so maybe 300+
