Proverbs 23:4 NIV [4] Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.

Although there were others this on has stayed with me. I was about 15 years old. My mom gave me $5 to buy a blue soap in the shop for her. The woman who owned the shop drank just like the men who bought from her. She was always tipsy. Instead of giving me $4.25 , she gave me $19.25. I gave her back the money, snd told her she gave me too much change. This woman was stunned. She asked, who my mother was. Since I was a child she had great respect for my mom for raising me so well. But i am a child of God, therefore I reflected God's character.

Proverbs 31:20 NIV [20] She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
