Welcome to The Hitmakers Circle! I'm so glad you're here. Whether you're writing your very first song or you've been making music for years, you've joined a community of people who share one common goal: writing better songs and growing together as artists, songwriters, and producers. Over the coming weeks and months, I'll be adding new courses, live Q&A sessions, songwriting challenges, production breakdowns, industry insights, and behind-the-scenes looks at my own writing process. My goal is to share the techniques, lessons, successes, and failures I've experienced during more than 30 years in the music industry. This isn't just a place to watch videos. It's a place to ask questions, share your music, receive constructive feedback, collaborate with other members, and continue growing as a songwriter. Let's get to know each other! Hi Rob & everyone, I’m Ann-Sofie Wensbo, singer/songwriter, producer & educator from Sweden, based in Järna, just south of Stockholm. I’ve been writing songs for 35 years now… 😅🫣 I grew up influenced mainly by pop but also by jazz, folk & country, and my songwriting has so far mainly been within the Singer/Songwriter genre. I guess my favorite style of music would be something along the lines of ‘adult contemporary indie-folk-pop-soul with a hint of acoustic chill, and possibly with a laid back four-on-the-floor groove’... 😜🎶🤣 I’m primarily a guitarist and vocalist, though I can “work” on other instruments, especially within the pop field. I have a music teacher’s education and have worked for 20 years as a Playback Theatre Musician, mirroring real life stories of the audience through improvised theater and music, as well as a Life Ceremony Musician, choir leader and coach. During the pandemic I decided to dive deeper into my greatest passion and calling, my songwriting, and have since then focused on sharpening both my songwriting and production skills. It’s actually thanks to @Rob Wells that I dared to choose to seriously pursue developing my production skills back in 2022, and for this I’m forever grateful! Thank you, Rob! 🥰🙏 A songwriting goal for this year is to get ready to release my first EP with fairly fresh, original songs, and to be happy with both the songwriting and the production of it. If I could co-write with any artist or songwriter, it would probably be e.g. Sara Bareilles, Olafur Arnalds or MARO. Rob, I can’t tell you how happy I am that you’ve created this community and how grateful I am to get to be part of it! It really makes my heart sing, and I can't wait to meet you all! ❤️🎶
