Happy New Week, Tribe. What was your main course over the weekend? #TAPIN
Sometimes it's hard to be happy when good things are happening & there's a glass of grief on the side. A small portion of anxiety, which too much of the calorie intake produces fear. There might be a little left over depression sitting on the kitchen counter waiting to be served as a dessert. For the low carb/healthy folk being mindful of their intake, we have a lil piece of happiness, a tea cup full of joy. Some of that peace & happiness freshly simmering as it's being placed on the table. The aroma of sweet honey lingers as it signifies love, a pinch of honesty, a few dashes of loyalty & 3 tablespoons full of respect. Those ingredients mixed together are like chef's kiss. That's the sweet lil medley we've all been waiting to get our hands on. 😏✌🏾 Now you are faced with a feast of food. And there is plenty more of where all of that came from. Nobody touched Auntie's potato salad b/c it was sweet & bitter at the same time. We asked her what she put in it. Come to find out, it was her favorite seasoning called Toxicity. See, you have a choice when it comes to your intake. What you feed, think, expose yourself to. It all matters. Just b/c it's placed in front of you, doesn't mean you need to eat it. And if you spill your plate accidentally on purpose, nobody would blame you. 😉✨ Just make sure you clean up your mess & go back & get yourself the plate that you desire. Two truths can exist at the same time. You can be happy for yourself & grieving for your loved ones. You can still honor your own heart & fill up on love, while auntie over there forcefeeding that damn potato salad. 🥴🥴✌🏾 Give yourself permission to think good thoughts & remain positive while the rest of the world is figuring it out. Give yourself permission to rest, to love, to smile & to close your eyes as you stand still, placing your hand on your heart & gracefully say to yourself: "I am okay today. I am safe in my body. I am proud of me for showing up as the best version of myself in this moment. My nervous system is calm & I love that for me." Take a few deep breaths. Close your hands in prayer form. And remind yourself that YOU GOT THIS‼️ "Nothing is wrong. Everything is happening how it's supposed to. I can't fix anything out of my control & I am doing my best everyday to be okay with that."
