I am booking podcasts left and right! I've got a date set with @Roger Peters at the end of the month and I've just booked two more podcasts in the weeks after! I think having a good positioning statement and putting myself out there has been the most helpful. I have been using this platform and MatchMaker.fm (free version) to reach out to podcasts that seem to fit and sound interesting to me. Now, here's hoping I don't flop the interviews 🤣!

@Karen Gray testing your lead magnet is critical. We recommend 2 ways - get booked on 10 podcasts and measure the results and reactions. If people are asking for it, you know you're onto something great. You can also do a 2 step social post "I just created this amazing outline/guidebook/checklist/resource that creates this result. Who wants it?" For example, I have discovered 3 things you can do to boost your confidence and raise your prices. How wants it? Try out some different language, verbs and results until you hit the jackpot. Once you do, run with it!

Questions about booking yourself as a guest

Has anyone had success here in the free version with being booked as a guest on other people's podcasts? I've been getting so many podcast inquiries since I've joined this space and it's more than I can keep up with or why I'm here... I chose both that I need guests and am looking to be a guest but all I've received is guest inquiries. I'm guessing my application is being shared with people paying for the "be a guest on other people's podcast" part of this space and it feels... honestly not so good

@Jesse Tayler We recommend using the facebook group (need a guest) to get booked on podcasts and this community for networking and sharing ideas.

👋 Introduce Myself

Hi everyone. Just joined. I'm a Belgian pastry chef writing articles and cookbooks. I got here through filling out a form to join the podcast directory and now I'm a little confused😅. How do I know if my request to be a guest was added to the directory? Can I see it somewhere or maybe change it or add information?

Sarah, your listing has been added, but we haven't made it public because we still haven't found a super great platform to host the directory on for guests looking to get booked. If you have a podcast, we feature shows & hosts in our client newsletters. All is not lost, you can get booked by posting and responding to queries inside the Need a Guest facebook group, and you can network here in this community.
