Hello. I provide leadership for a writer's group called the Port Charlotte Writers. I joined the group because I have always dreamed of writing. Now, retired from a life of service to elders and people with various disabilities, I jumped at the opportunity to join this group. First, I volunteered to take the minutes. I had floated a lot of ideas to the group, but could not find others in the group who would join me in those visions. And then--Along comes Angee--and things really started to take off! We started to offer educational sessions, and we published an anthology of short stories giving members an opportunity to draft, edit, edit, edit, and publish a book... what a great learning experience. You could say she was the wind beneath our wings! I have contributed to two books so far and have several completed short stories and ideas for novels. The Port Charlotte Writers will be publishing another book of short stories to allow our members to see the improvements they have made and to offer newer members an opportunity to publish their first story.
