Changes are coming... 🎸🀘
Here are some changes that are coming to the group: - Less focus on guitar lessons, more fun. - I'm relaunching my old YT channel. So expect people from there to join soon and be kind to them. - For current students the lessons will continue per usual, but we'll stop posting homework here. - Potentially changing the name, description and look of the group. - If you have any inputs on what we can make the group better, let me know! We're in this together 😊

Pivoting is super important! Glad to hear you are taking things in a new direction mate. It takes a lot of strength to do so, but sometimes it is extremely necessary. What type of things are you thinking of posting?
Welcome! Introduce yourself + share a pic of your guitar(s)
Let's get to know each other! You can use this format: Hey, I'm from _______________. For fun I like to _______________. Here's a pic of my guitar(s).

@Christian Lie It's so rare to come across another Perth person, let alone guitarist!

@Mark Weimann I'll send a message soon.
Let's start the day on a good note. A blues note that is 🎸
Here's a classic hill country blues song by R.L. Burnside. One of the best blues performances i've ever seen. And it's litterally in the guy's backyard 🌳 https://youtu.be/K_DOnKJ232M?si=LCdEDd7TkUEw2eSW

Dang son. Forget the insane guitar for a bit... That voice though!
Even Hendrix had a hard time remembering notes 🎸
Thought i'd share this little comment / quote he made on the Dick Cavett show back in the day. For anyone interested, here's the full interview: https://youtu.be/VGf9PTYyJ4A?si=y-PxYlGkeBQQc25q Skip to 4:43 to hear about his practice habits ;) Practice is tough. Even for the best of us. What's the most challenging thing about playing guitar for you these days?

@Clemens Hackmack Worded perfectly mate. I totally agree with you...back in the day it was more celebrated to be raw and authentic than it is today. Natural imperfections like tempo fluctuations, missing notes, string noise etc. were part of what actually made it perfect, and human. In today's world it's very easy to forget people are human, especially when it's so easy to play with less genuinity. With digital technology, the world has set standards so high that anything off the grid is now considered to be not normal.
