🍏 Apple is Ramping Up its Business Platform - to rival GBP!
APPLE BUSINESS Starting April 14, Apple will switch to a more GBP-Like business platform with manager access and other features. It will no longer be called Apple Business Connect but "Apple Business". And it will also include an Apple Business Manager, similar to the Google Business Profile Manager. Why now? Apple wants to boost its bottom line with a new ads platform. Which is why they want to improve user experience for Apple Business users. Here is what you can expect, some of them will be new, others are just pulled from the currently existing Apple Business Connect platform. New brand profiles: Manage brand name, logo, and key details consistently across Apple Maps, Wallet, and other features and apps. Place cards: Customize with photos, detailed location information, hours, and other useful details that display across Apple Maps, Safari, Spotlight, and more. Showcases and custom actions: Highlight deals, special offers, new products, or seasonal items on place cards in Maps. Add custom actions like order or reserve to direct customers to a preferred website or app. Location insights: Gain valuable insights into how customers discover and interact with businesses on Maps, including search, views, and taps on actions. Branded communications: Display branding prominently in the Mail app and on iCloud Mail to increase awareness. Branding will display with tracked orders in Wallet for a more recognizable customer experience. Tap to Pay on iPhone: Build trust by displaying a brand logo and name on the payment screen when accepting payments directly on iPhone. Apple Maps ads are coming in Summer to US and Canada Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple Business Connect will no longer be available once Apple Business launches. ======================================= Surely this must be good for us, as it will mean more people wanting to get reviews for their businesses What are your thoughts ?

Planned Feature: Employee Tracking + Leaderboard
Hi Climbers, we are planning a new feature around employee tracking, and before building it we want to collect your feedback in detail, because we think this could become one of the most powerful ways to help local businesses generate more reviews in a natural and consistent way. The idea is this. The business owner will have a dedicated section called Employees Links, where they can add the employees who are responsible for asking customers to leave reviews. Adding an employee will be very simple: the business just inserts a photo, a name, and an alias, which can also simply be the employee’s real name or nickname. Every time an employee is added, the platform will automatically generate a dedicated review link for that employee. It will also be possible to download the related QR code. Technically, this employee link will simply be the general review link with an extra URL parameter, something like employee=alias. In this way, we will be able to track the unique visits to each employee’s review link. So if an employee asks a customer to scan their own QR code or open their own review link, the business will be able to measure how many unique visits that employee has generated. On top of this, we want to build a leaderboard, inspired by the Skool style, where the business can see the ranking of employees based on the number of unique visits to each employee’s review link. The leaderboard will be viewable for the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or all-time. This would already create an interesting use case for businesses. For example, the company could decide that, on the last day of every month, the employee with the highest number of unique visits receives a bonus in payroll, because that employee made a stronger effort to ask customers for reviews. But we want to take this feature much further. Our idea is that if, inside the text of the review, the customer mentions the alias of the employee, then that review will be automatically assigned to that employee. For example, if the review says “Luke was very kind with us”, the review will automatically be associated with the employee whose alias is “Luke”.

I love this concept and look forward to its implementation. One suggestion I would for the dashboard would be as well as the leaderboard (for individual achievment) There could be an overall company TEAM review target for the month. So let's say the team hit 50 reviews in a month, every member of staff would get a bonus, not just the top of the leaderboard

It could also be incentivised further - by having 3 targets each month of 50, 100, 150 reviews (obviously the number of reviews must be relevant to the target Each business is aiming for) and this may encourage sustained growth throughout the month, especially if the largest target is only able to be hit, if everyone on the is having a great month!
🔧 This Week’s Focus: Platform Review & Improvements
Hi Climbers 👋 This week we’re taking a short pause from releasing new features to focus on something equally important: reviewing and refining the entire platform. Over the last 6 months, we’ve developed and released a huge number of features, shipping updates every single week. Because of this fast pace, we want to take a few days to step back and go through the platform carefully, reviewing the code, fixing minor bugs, and making small UI improvements where needed. The goal is simple: make sure the platform is as solid, stable, and smooth as possible for you and your clients. Sometimes the most important work is not adding more features, but making sure everything already built works perfectly and feels polished. From next week we’ll go back to our usual development rhythm and continue releasing new features. Thanks again for all the feedback you keep sharing — it’s helping us improve the platform every single week 🙌

I think this is SUPER important and could be scheduled in once every 8 weeks -- New features are great, but a smooth operating system is far more important to the users of it :-) Keep up the great work, and thanks for the opportunity 🙏🏻
It took some time but then 💥BOOOM💥
Cheerio Climbers, I started dealing with Climbo 2,5 months ago. I set up my website and watched most of the tutorials. Super hyped I contacted businesses in my surroundings (I focus on restaurants and cafés). To be honest: It was draining. Most restaurant owner were not very pleased to listen to my offer - after they've been contacted by Google and other local business directories before. I really started to doubt myself and whether I should change my niche. But I kept going. Since this week the penny dropped and I've closed 5 restaurants on an annual plan. 3.000 € in one week is pretty awesome and really excites me. 😍 Interestingly once a local business starts using the software, their competitors also feel the urge to sign up. Good for me, good for them, good for us. Good luck to all of you who push through initial challenges as well. Keep going 🙌
