Closing this group
Hi all, unfortunately I will be closing this group in the next week. Mainly because my focus is required elsewhere and this is costing me more than it's helping so just wanted to let everyone know. I'd suggest getting all the resources from the classes before it closes. Thank you all for sticking with us for this long and best of luck on everyone's cybersecurity journey! Best, Andry

Happy Holidays!!!
Hi everyone! Wanted to jump on here real quick and wish everyone happy holidays! I hope your time with family is restful, peaceful and full of joy! See you all next year!
A Gift for Anyone currently working (even if not Cybersecurity)
I have created a great way to track your accomplishments and to-dos at work that has worked incredibly well for me lately so wanted to share it with you all! I know some of you are still looking for work in Cybersecurity so hopefully this encourages you by looking ahead and picturing yourself there! This is an Eisenhower Matrix that I'm sure you've seen before. In short, it shows you your tasks that you have to complete now, this week/month, this year, and a backlog of tasks so you will never have nothing to do at work. The idea is to track everything you do to pin point measurable accomplishments that you can bring to your manager for promotion, bonus or general resume/linkedin accomplishments. Hopefully this helps! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kWxMX4ORrhDmb-UXC2Ap2x4WSwE5Gl-4_foxLx-yPE4/edit?usp=sharing

What do you think are the current 2024 top Cybersecurity threats?
Answer will be in the comments at the end of the day. To help keep security top of mind, I'll be posting general cybersecurity polls to help people keep this top of mind. Plan is to post every Monday!

And you are correct @Tom Ayers ! Although all of the above are active threats, right now Ransomeware and Phishing are the top threats mainly due to the ease of performing both.
