Twilio Business Verification is LIVE β Here's How It Works
We just rolled out full Twilio business verification directly inside the platform. No more jumping between dashboards or dealing with Twilio's console. Here's the quick rundown: What it does: When you want to buy phone numbers for your AI agents, Twilio requires your business to be verified first. We handle all of that for you automatically. How it works: 1. Go to Settings β Organization and fill out your business details (business name, address, EIN, and an authorized representative) 2. Hit Submit for Verification β we package everything up and send it to Twilio on your behalf 3. Twilio reviews it (usually takes 24-48 hours for US businesses) 4. You'll get an email when you're approved (or if anything needs fixing) 5. Once approved, head to Phone Numbers and buy your first number What you'll see in the dashboard: - Yellow = Business profile incomplete (still need to fill in your details) - Cyan = Profile complete, verification needed (hit that submit button!) - Green = You're verified and ready to buy numbers Already have your own Twilio account? (BYOT) If you already have a Twilio account with verified business credentials, you can bring your own. Just toggle on "Bring Your Own Twilio" in Settings, plug in your Account SID and Auth Token, and you're good to go. No need to go through our verification process β we'll use your existing Twilio account directly. A few tips: - Make sure your business name matches your EIN registration exactly - Phone numbers need to be in international format (+1 for US, like +15551234567) - Your business address should match what's on file with the IRS - If you get rejected, don't panic β just update the flagged info and resubmit What happens behind the scenes: We create a verified business profile on Twilio using their TrustHub system, link it to your sub-account, and handle all the back-and-forth so you don't have to. Once approved, phone number purchases are unlocked instantly. That's it. Fill out your info, submit, wait a day or two, and you're live.
