@Teresa Velasquez , we do the same thing with little dry, packaged mixes! We’re kind of planning wonks (or maybe it’s just me and my wife just tolerates it) so we plan the meals and activities on a schedule then we’ll hit the grocery store. A couple years ago we totally foobared our food situation and left a ton of food behind. Since then we’ve been really good about planning meals that use everything up. For example, a grilled chicken on one day, then chicken tacos the next day.
