JUNE - “The Biology of Belief”
by Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. explores how thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and environment influence the body at a cellular level. Lipton argues that genes are not fixed destiny; instead, epigenetics shows that perception and environment can switch genes on and off. The book bridges science and spirituality, suggesting that subconscious programming formed mainly in childhood shapes health, behavior, and life outcomes. By changing beliefs, emotional states, and perception, individuals can support healing, transformation, and personal growth. Core themes include: * Epigenetics and mind-body connection. * Power of subconscious beliefs. * Stress vs. love states in biology. * Cellular intelligence. * Consciousness influencing wellbeing. The central message: changing your perception and beliefs can change your biology and your life. 📚💚🙏🏽

I have started reading The Biology of Belief. So far this has been an enjoyable read, with lots of insights. Between Book Club books, I have read The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho for the first time in many years. What an amazing book, the story is simple, but it captures many of the spiritual lessons I have learned over the past few years! A beautiful experience!

Louise Hay This month, we honour the beautiful teachings of You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay, a pioneer in the world of healing, self-love, affirmations, and conscious transformation. Louise taught that our thoughts, beliefs, and words shape our reality. Her work invites us to move from fear to love, from self-judgment to self-acceptance, and from limitation to possibility. Core Teachings: - The body reflects the mind. - Healing begins with self-love. - Forgiveness frees us. - Affirmations help reprogram consciousness. - We are worthy of love, joy, peace, and abundance. Powerful Reminder: “Every thought we think is creating our future.” Reflection Questions: - What beliefs am I ready to release? - How do I speak to myself each day? - What would change if I truly loved myself unconditionally? Practice for the Week: Stand in front of a mirror each morning and say: “I love and approve of myself exactly as I am.” Simple. Powerful. Transformational. If you’ve read You Can Heal Your Life, what was your biggest takeaway? 📚💚🙏🏽

This is a great book, and there have been many useful takeaways. The belief that we create every illness in our body is significant. I know of people who choose to be unwell in order to avoid dealing with an issue or participating fully in this life. I value good health (physical and mental) and wellness above everything else in life. I avoid even thinking about illness if I can!
You Can Heal Your Life
The book includes the following statement, which has really resonated with me: ‘Our breath is the most precious substance in our lives, and yet we totally take for granted when we exhale that our next breath will be there…. Now if the Power that created us has given us enough breath to last as long as we shall live, can we not trust that everything else we need will also be supplied?’ I have finished the book, it has been a great read, thanks Kirt!

This book presents some interesting and useful ideas: ‘Impatience is only another form of resistance.’ I should get this one tattooed on the back of my hand! ‘Love Your Bills’, offered on the basis that bills are an acknowledgment of our ability to pay, and that if you pay with love and joy, you open the free flowing channel of abundance. I like and appreciate this idea, but it is something I will need to work on! I hope you all are enjoying this book too!

This month we honour Eckhart Tolle, a modern spiritual teacher whose work has helped millions awaken from overthinking, anxiety, and unconscious patterns. Best known for The Power of Now and A New Earth, his teachings point to a simple but life-changing truth: ✨ Peace is found in the present moment. ✨ You are not your thoughts. ✨ Awareness transforms suffering. ✨ The ego dissolves when consciousness rises. Eckhart’s message bridges ancient wisdom with modern life, making deep spirituality practical and accessible. 📖 Reflection Question: What changes in your life when you become fully present, right now? Share your favourite Eckhart quote, insight, or lesson below. ✨💚🙏🏽

I have just read The Power of Now for the nth time, and I want to read it again! The standout message for me this time was to identify with my soul/spirit and relinquish identification with the ego/mind. I’m putting this into practice now!
