From AI Chaos to Actual Direction — This Course Changed Everything
WOW!!! My AI use went from feeling like ADHD fuel and constant scattered rabbit trails… to actually being dialed in and intentional after just a few days of finding this course. Before this, I was bouncing between ideas, tools, chats, prompts, and unfinished systems. I knew AI was powerful, but I was mostly using it reactively instead of strategically. Now I finally feel like I’m building a real operating system around my work, projects, and thinking — especially using Claude Code and ICM principles together. Honestly, this already feels like one of those turning points where you realize: “Yeah… this is going to fundamentally change how I operate.” My life is changed. I can feel it. Thank you.

@Tobias Imfeld Hey Tobias — great questions, happy to share! First, two things worth saying up front: 1. Everything you see was built through conversation with Claude. I uploaded the course articles, had Claude explain ICM concepts back to me until they clicked, then bounced ideas off it — "what if I did X?" / "would this break the principle?" — and let it push back when I was over-engineering. That back-and-forth produced the setup. The real "how" is: understand the basics, then have a real conversation, and ask the right questions. 2. My setup goes off the standard course method. The course explicitly invites customization and I leaned into it. So this is my shape, not the shape. Yours will look different and that's the point. Quick tour of what you can see in the screenshot: - CLAUDE.md at the root (the file I have open) — the router. Maps trigger phrases like "any open loops?" or "sync ICM" to the right destination or SOP. Brain stem of the system. To your literal question — the end-of-session check isn't in CONTEXT.md, it's pointed to by CLAUDE.md. - workspaces/ folder — 4 sub-workspaces, one per domain of my life: my agency (Craftsman Digital), my ecommerce brand (Staff & Stone), theology writing, personal ops. Each has its own WORKSPACE_CONTEXT.md so Claude knows what it's walking into. - log-and-charter-system/ (the "L&C" folder you see in the tree) — my own invention, not part of the standard ICM course. It's a GTD-derived layer holding my Area → Goal → Project → Task hierarchy, review rhythms (weekly/monthly), session logs, and the SOPs Claude executes on trigger phrases. ICM organizes what exists; L&C organizes how I move through it on a rhythm. - incubator/ — ideas not yet commitments - research/ — raw inputs (PDFs, articles, transcripts) land here, get distilled, route to a workspace

Funny. I've taught myself how to use AI as a thinking partner over the last year without help or instruction, but had no idea about claude code/vsc setup or IMC. Good stuff.

Got it. I was using the desktop app until this video. Much better!

This one breaks down orchestration. Vote below, then pick one AI tool you actually use and tell us in the comments: can you identify which part is the model and which part is the routing layer around it?

Found the only clarity on AI I needed in this course. 🤯
