Hey everyone, my name is Elliot Villeneuve and I just joined this community a little while ago. I’m a Canadian based paramedic working with the region of Durham which is near Toronto. Im a dual citizen of Canada and the USA and I started off pre medical at Iowa state university and then covid hit so I transferred to nursing but quickly fell in love with the ER and so i decided to get my EMT, I was doing that in Chicago for a while, I then learned I can earn much more as a medic in Canada so I moved to Edmonton to try and do it lived there for a bit got my EMR, but got into a paramedic school in Ontario so that’s where my training is from. Been a medic for a year now. I decided to go into healthcare because I suffer from cystic fibrosis and a bunch of other medical issues involving my liver and GI track, I’ve been in and out of the hospital and had amazing providers and bad providers so I wanted to join up to try and be the difference in the community and be the person who gives patients a good experience. I’m really excited to be a part of the group and hopefully I get to know you all a bit better :)
