@Stuart Baulk yep, between my paid work, volunteering, and our band, much of what I do is on camera, and this is the space where most of that happens. (Actually *playing* music happens in another room however. So I have two production rooms!) The items in and around the bookcase are obviously very unique to me (can you tell I love sunflowers?!) It includes gifts and cards from loved ones, artwork (both my own and pieces from talented friends), memories... I sometimes add or remove things as new mementos arrive. That's what I choose to convey in any of the settings where I use this space: me, rather than something professional/corporate and BORING. I've found what's in shot can definitely impact engagement. In a previous setup I had a guitar or bass hanging on the wall, in shot next to me, and would get comments on it all the time. The current rental house doesn't lend itself to hanging guitars.
