What will you get done in the next 7 days?
A big goal can feel far away. This week, bring it down to actions you can actually complete. What are you working toward? What are three things you’ll do in the next seven days to move closer to it? Be specific enough that you can come back and say whether you did them. You don’t need to feel motivated every day. You need to know what the next step is and make time to do it. Post your three actions below. Next week, come back and tell us what got done, what didn’t, and what you learned. I’ll do the same.

My three commitments: 1. Complete my planned 2–3 training sessions each day and log what I did. 2. Book 15 new PT sessions each week. 3. Build my neck strength for the Muay Thai fight I’m planning in February. I’ll track my neck exercises and aim to add 3–5 reps each week while keeping good form. I’ll report back on what I completed, where I fell short, and what I’m changing.
START HERE — State your goal
Welcome to Proof of Ambition. I’m Anders. I built this community for people with serious goals who want to do the work and help others do the same. Your first step is to introduce yourself in a new post. Tell us: 1. What are you working toward? 2. What is your deadline? 3. Where do you stand right now? 4. What three actions will you complete this week? 5. What help do you need, and what can you offer others? Each week, we’ll share commitments and report back honestly. Progress counts. Setbacks count too, as long as you learn from them and take the next step. Be specific. Be respectful. Show the work.

@Patrick Spano Ah, got you. Having their support already is a big step. Sounds like the board is the last hurdle. If you’re putting together a proposal for them, let me know if you want help going over it

@Elias Rafael Good to see you here, Elias. Balancing school and training takes discipline, so that’s a solid goal. Let’s work on your knees and elbows next time I see you at the gym and focus on getting you comfortable actually using them. What’s one thing you’ll do this week to stay on top of school?
The goal doesn’t change because I’m tired
I drove to the gym tired today. I’d kept waking up last night, and I knew I had a private session with my Muay Thai coach, Soutchay, waiting for me. Soutchay is in France, so we train over video. He’s been doing Muay Thai since he was five. I’ve been working with him online for the past two or three months because I want to learn from the best, regardless of where I live. My goal is to go far in this sport, and I’m hoping to fight this coming February. Today we worked on clinch, elbows, knees, feints, angles, and putting it all together. We started with five minutes of skip knees. I was using too much muscle and making them harder than they needed to be. When the five minutes ended, I was relieved. Soutchay wasn’t satisfied. “Use the rebound. Turn your hips. You should be able to do this without getting tired. Do it again.” So I did. Minute by minute, I started to feel the difference. The technique clicked, and I could throw the knees with speed and power without forcing every movement. We took that into clinch work on the teardrop bag, then feints, angles, and live rounds where I had to put it all together. Afterward, we talked about what comes next. We’re adding ten minutes of ab work: one minute of plank, one minute of reps, alternating until the ten minutes are done. These sessions are already making a difference, and I’m continuing with two training sessions a day. Years ago, an injury kept me from fighting for five or six years. I became a coach so I could stay in the sport while I worked my way back. During that time, I watched old teammates and friends turn pro and do great things. My own goal stayed with me. I still believe my day is coming. But belief alone won’t get me there. Today’s work, tomorrow’s work, and the days when I show up tired all count. That’s what Proof of Ambition is for. What goal are you working toward, and what are you doing for it this week?
