I’ve been praying, and sitting trying to figure out what the block has been with getting closer to Jesus this season. Listening to the teaching helped it click for me. When you guys talk about comfort and having that idea in our hearts that we know Jesus leads to the place of comfortability. I immediately wanted to reject that was what was going on because mentally I know I don’t know Jesus and never could. Yet at some point part of my heart settled on that I did because of how I’ve seen him work in my life. I was holding on to the past experiences as if that is the only way I can know him in the future! Noah and I have been talking about we don’t want to settle for “easy” worship and definitely don’t want to pas it down to our kids.

@Keely McCartney We are constantly taking moments through out the day to include Jesus! Hard moments when we don’t want to pray or we’re stuck in a rut we talk about what Jesus did for us and what he continues to do. Good moments where we get to thank Jesus for who he is and what he gives us! For answered prayers in the big and little things. The other day we had a kid from our apartments playing with Oliver, definitely going in a different direction than what Jesus would do. We took time to tell them we noticed how they didn’t follow in the same way, even though they were playing together. That moments like those are where we get to look like Jesus and worship him!

I want to go deeper into the Bible wherever I can! I want to allow God to keep the fire burning in my heart and life so I don’t settle with life’s distractions! I’d say I’m on the same page as Avah, finding a community that wants to go deeper wherever we can. People that want to incorporate worship in all parts of their lives and days!
