😩Most creators fail in the first 60 seconds. Here’s how to fix that—step by step. (Apply this to every long-form [and shortform] video) 1️⃣Know the Title & Thumbnail FIRST Before scripting or filming, ask: “What is the viewer expecting when they click?” The opening shot must match the promise of the title/thumbnail—or people click off. 2️⃣Frontload the First 60 Seconds Hook immediately. Use high-quality visuals, suspense, or an unexpected moment. Treat this like the “trailer” of your video—what’s the payoff and why should they care? 3️⃣Build Rapid Progression (1–3 Minutes) Cover more ground quickly. Don’t get stuck in the weeds—show the story moving fast so viewers feel like they’re getting value or excitement non-stop. 4️⃣Re-Engage Around the 3-Minute Mark Drop a “wow” moment or a twist. This could be a surprising upgrade, a crazy development, or a visual spectacle. 5️⃣Never Signal the End Too Early Even the ending needs tension. No wind-downs—end abruptly after a satisfying payoff to preserve retention. 📈If you only apply this one framework to your content, you’ll already be ahead of 90% of creators.
