Woohoo! Great things to come!
Are you a Business Bookworm like me?
You might not know this, but I learned to read before I started Kindergarten!! The magic of intentionally crafted words on a page have always been both fascinating and fantastical for me, and I've spent more hours in libraries than I could count!! 📚 When I started my first product-based online business in 2011, I read every business book I could get my hands on (which meant going to the library often!). Since then, online content and books have exploded into every corner of our existence, and what a MAGICAL world we live in to have easy access to this new knowledge as entrepreneurs! Although, the actual reality is that most business owners are short on time, and don't get to read as often as they'd like to. Yet we absolutely need sparks of ideas, solutions, and motivation now and then!! With a collection of more than 250+ business and leadership books in my library, I'd love to share with you some of my favorite snippets and quotes each week. 💡I'd love to hear from you as well!💡 ▶️What business books or online content have given you the excitement, empowerment, or education to take the next steps for growth in your business?

This is not really for business growth but I love following creators on social media who are real and just trying their best. The ones who show their real life, their goofy side, and are just down to earth, I love following and supporting people like that. It gives me hope that I can eventually work with people like that.

@Katelin Priest Often right before I go to sleep, it helps me wind down away from screens and yes, I often fall asleep reading. I also do it when I need to get some sun. A blanket on the grass with a good book is one of my favorite things to do.
Today's Power Hour
Hey team! Amy and I crushed our Power Hour earlier today at 11am. She got lots done for the GBN (and made breakfast🤪) I focused on client work and then made a few phone calls! Overall, very productive morning... and I got to work with my accountability buddy! Having this community makes it easier for me to avoid distractions and stay motivated. (Today's slides featured funny dog memes, just something a little extra to make to-do's more fun!)

Gotta fuel my body so I can fuel my mind. I love having these set times where I know it's already set aside for me to do work. If I come in with a game plan of what I want to work on, I am so much more productive. Even if I don't finish everything, I still made progress!

Agreed! Those built in breaks make it easier to not get burnt out.
Sometimes it's just a simple decision that creates the best success!
In Chapter 8 of the book "A Changed Mind" by David Bayer, he talks about the Power of Decision in changing our view of what is possible for us in our businesses. We often hear the concept of "limiting beliefs", and as an entrepreneur our limiting beliefs often have VERY real outcomes for the success and sustainability for our businesses. David Bayer explores the idea that "beliefs are actually decisions". He thinks we get too caught up in the "how" and that can paralyze our progress. He states, "The single most destructive assumption that human beings make regarding the ability to make decisions freely is the false belief that before making a decision you must know the "how"." ▶️Do you agree with him? Can we really just "decide" without knowing the "how" of the decision?

This reminds me of the quote, I don't know who said it, 'Believe you can, and you're halfway there'. I totally believe that our decisions and belief that we can do something is half, or maybe more than half, of the battle. Everything that we have done or learned in this life started with a decision to try and figure it out as we go. I think a lot of decisions were expected of us so it made the decision easier but think of going to school, or getting a new job, or moving out for the first time, those are not things that we knew how to do but something motivated us to do those things and we learned as we went and figured it out. I think business ideas can be the same but they feel more overwhelming for a lot of different reasons but partly because we're worried that the reality will not live up to our dreams and that's scary.

@Kim Job I love that!! Talking about something and actually making actions towards it is a big difference and a big step!
