More propagating!
Cutting back my dragon tail plant because it was in too dark a spot and the internodes got way too long! Hopefully these cuttings will quickly🪴🩷🙂

Nice! Water propagation is my “go to” method for most propagations. I moved my dragon tail to a brighter spot about 2 months ago and it’s made a huge difference. It’s grown more in just 2 months than it did the entire year before in its prior spot.

Prop box update…
So…not great news. The prop box did not turn out to be a success-I left the lid on, which might’ve been a mistake. I should’ve allowed more airflow because when I checked it today, there was an abundance of mold on everything, especially in the moss. So I took all the plants that were not rotten out and rinsed them off. Now I’m trying a new thing where I’m going to stick their end into wet moss, but leave the top exposed.

Oh shoot! That’s too bad about the mold. I think it’s a great idea to just stick the bottoms only in the moss. Keep up the experimenting with different methods…that’s the only way to find out which way works best.

Water propagation with Begonia
This is my first time trying water propagation with begonias! I hope they root🙂🌿

You are so brave. Begonias are so unique and beautiful but they scare me. I purchased my first begonia (maculata) a few weeks ago…it’s not dead but doesn’t look great either. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Trying new propagation methods
Trying some new propagation methods for some cuttings-especially Hoya cuttings. The Hoya cuttings that I had previously dipped in superglue to help prevent rotting in water propagation had mostly rotted anyway. Now I’m attempting it in one half damp perlite and one half sphagnum moss. 🙂🌿🤞🏻

I haven’t used super glue myself but have seen all over social media about others having great success with using super glue for their water props. Crossing my fingers for you that the perlite and spagnum moss method works. Keep us posted on the progress.

Anyone else love the mini worlds contained in terrariums? I know I do! Just made this one-anyone else try them before?
