Say hi. Tell us three things.
I'll start. I'm Carolyn. I've been a teacher, behavior specialist, professional development coordinator and a few other things along the way. When I left teaching, I felt like a failure. It took me a long time to understand that I couldn't stay because I was living in a constantly activated state, and it wasn't just showing up at work. It was showing up in how I parented, too. I’m Amber. I am a pre-k elementary school counselor. I think for me it’s the being pulled in many different directions and trying to meet the needs of students, teachers, families and administration. Then also having to advocate for my role as a school counselor while also knowing it is an uphill battle. I long to be in an environment where I can soar and not feel dwindled by the system.
