Win the First 5 Minutes, Win the Call
The first 5 minutes determine the entire call. And most people get them wrong. They show up trying to impress, convince, or âcloseâ⌠Instead of setting the frame. Hereâs the mindset shift: This call is not about getting them in. Itâs about deciding if they belong in. âIf youâre a fit, Iâll invite you into the program.â That one frame changes everything. Instead of chasing â youâre qualifying. Instead of pressure â thereâs clarity. Instead of selling â thereâs discernment. Hereâs how that sounds on a high-ticket coaching call: âHey, hereâs how this will go. Iâm going to learn more about where youâre at, what youâre working toward, and whatâs been getting in the way. Iâll reference your application as we go. From there, (if I feel like we can genuinely help and itâs a strong fit--this is IMPORTANT to word this way because then the prospect is selling to YOU why they need YOUR program), Iâll walk you through what that would look like to work together. If not, no worries at allâIâll point you in the right direction.â Simple. Clean. No pressure. But notice what it does: â Establishes you as a professional, not a persuader â Positions the offer as something earned, not pushed â Filters out people who arenât serious â Builds trust instantly This is especially important in the online coaching space. High-ticket buyers donât want to be sold........ They want to be understood⌠and then invited! If you control the frame early, the rest of the call becomes easy. If you donât⌠youâll spend the call trying to prove yourself. And thatâs the fastest way to lose the sale.
