ok so I need to confess something 😅
A few weeks ago, on holiday, at 2am... I was having a full conversation with Claude about whether I should start posting on Instagram again. Yes. 2am. on holiday. with my kids in the next room. (Claude was very patient with me. I was not very rational.) the thing is, I had this creative impulse, I have things to say, people would relate to this, maybe I should just... Share, and within four minutes my brain had turned it into a full content strategy with a calendar and a platform decision and honestly it exhausted me before I'd posted a single thing. The impulse died before it even started. and then last week? Substack nearly happened. 🫠 I caught myself faster this time though. which felt like progress. I wrote about all of this in today's newsletter including the three questions I now ask myself before I let a new idea take over my brain at an unreasonable hour. But I want to know about you... when a new idea lands, what does your brain do first? And if you've got a specific situation you're navigating right now, a idea you can't shake, a decision you keep going back and forth on, something that's been sitting on your mental to-do list for way too long, drop it in the comments. A — gets immediately excited and starts planning everything at once B — talks itself out of it before it's even fully formed C — sits with it for a while before deciding (teach me your ways) D — opens 47 tabs and calls it research 👇🏾 P.S. if any of this sounds uncomfortably familiar and you want to talk through what's actually going on in your business, you can book a free call with me here → https://rosemarydede.com/bizz-audit No wrong answers. This is just a good thing to know about yourself. Drop your letter below and if you want, tell us the one thing that's still living rent-free in your head 👇

I thought that only happened to me! Just a good reason to make myself pause and breathe. And then to run my ideas past Rose so she can help to keep me focused.
Do you ever feel like you’re doing a lot… but still not fully clear?
Like you have offers. You’re showing up. You’re working. But underneath it all there’s this quiet question: Is this actually the right focus? This week inside the community, we’re zooming in on clarity, especially around your offers and positioning. Because when things feel scattered, the instinct is usually to add. Another idea. Another offer. Another tweak. But often the real work isn’t adding. It’s choosing. - If you could only sell one thing for the next 30 days… what would it be? - Who is the one person it’s really for? - And where might you be overcomplicating something that could actually be simple? We’ll be digging into this in the comments and on Thursday during our Hot Seat Coaching session. If you want support untangling your offer, positioning, or next move, bring it. For now, tell me: 👉🏾What feels most unclear right now? Is it your offer, your messaging, or who you’re actually speaking to?

@Rosemary Dede My offer. I would like to create a class. But I don’t know if anyone would be interested. Perhaps it would not be practical enough or perhaps it’s too depressing. Or heavy.

@Rosemary Dede I think that my community needs to feel empowered and connected. I think that lots of them/us are feeling alone, confused, and powerless. People are also feeling that self-care is selfish and ineffective. I feel like I have to choose between making the content practical or making it fun. That is probably untrue. For example, I have been focusing recently on a higher ground theme. This is a topic that connect and uplift people. But how do I make it practical/useful?
CEO or employee energy, which one are you in right now?
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually means to lead your business… not just run it. And something I shared in this week’s email keeps circling back for me: CEO identity isn’t about how much you do. It’s about how you decide. Most of us built our business from the place of: - “I’ll just do it real quick…” - “I’ll handle it…” - “It’s fine, I’ll figure it out…” - “I’ll catch up later…” And suddenly we’re juggling 20 tabs, 6 roles, 4 deadlines, 3 kids, and 1 nervous system trying to hold it all together. So this week, I’d love to bring the conversation here: What part of your business makes you slip into ‘employee mode’ instead of ‘CEO mode’? Is it: ✨ Saying yes too quickly ✨ Doing everything manually ✨ Not wanting to slow down long enough to decide ✨ Avoiding the thing you know would make everything easier ✨ Always reacting instead of leading There’s no wrong answer, we all have our “thing.” Drop yours below and let’s talk about it. I’ll share mine in the comments too.

@Rosemary Dede I love this idea of saying no as the default! My son does that I would get mad at him. But I think he might be right.
Less chaos. More CEO energy.
Happy Monday Balanced CEO’s! Last week, we started clearing the digital cobwebs, messy folders, clunky tools, too-many-tabs energy. This week, we’re zooming out. The question I want you to sit with is: 👉🏾 What would make your business easier to run, even on your busiest week? Not in a fantasy world where you have 8 child-free hours, perfect focus, and a full-body yes 😅 But real-life you. The one juggling client calls, a toddler with a runny nose, 47 open tabs, and dinner in the oven. What small shift would bring more clarity, more calm, more flow? → Is it finally mapping out your client process? → Setting up a calendar system that actually works? → Saying goodbye to the tool you secretly hate but keep paying for? Drop it in the comments 👇🏽 We’re workshopping this all week, and I’d love to hear where you’re focusing.

I need a system to help me or my work. Or perhaps I mean scheduling. Because I constantly feel like I am just treading water. That I mean, I’m rushing to keep up with what’s happening next or what I need to get out today or tomorrow rather than Having the work or and planned out and doable for the next month. I’m not even sure if I’m saying this correctly. Is this about organisation or planning or scheduling? That is how elusive this feels to me right now.

I love this book which is basically a poem by Maya Angelou. And I love the illustrations by Jean-Michel Basquiat. It’s empowering and gently address his fears that children may have. And it really is a beautiful book in both and artsy and literary way.
