Dragonsteel Nexus
I’ve been to Dragonsteel Nexus several times. Maybe you’ve seen me or my buddies?? We’re the ones that always carry around the enormous swords. Fun fact: these blades are EXACT (or as near as) 3D Printed models of the Shardblades in the books. How do I know? We got the measurements and designs from the designer/artist themselves. And they signed them! I’m holding Taln’s Blade in this picture. Can’t wait to go back! (Hopefully as an exhibitor)

@Jacob Oberle hahaha yes!!!! That’s awesome! I’ve currently got it hanging up in my office, watching over me while I write 😂
Had a Huge Win a few weeks ago
Published my debut dark fantasy book, and had over 115 sales within 3 days, and I’m sitting at 29 reviews on Amazon with a ⭐️4.8 rating. This exceeded all my expectations and I couldn’t be happier!

How to axe good writing in edits?
Hey all! I'm about 2/3 of the way through the story-level edit of my manuscript ... and I'm going WAY too slowly and still not making very many meaningful changes. Every time I sit down to write with an objective for that scene, I get caught up in the words that are already there, and before you know it, an hour has gone by and I haven't axed a thing. I know I'm getting too attached to the existing prose, and I keep trying to fit big plot changes into writing that's already there ... which (shocker) isn't working. Any advice on how to approach this phase of editing, and how to avoid getting too married to your existing draft?

I’ve noticed that I have a hard time closing out a chapter. I tend to drone on instead of just stopping in a good place. So, when I need to cut things from my manuscript, I usually start there. The end of my chapters

@JoAnne Maluti thanks! And yeah, I definitely get what you’re saying. Guilty of that too!
Fantasy readers…
What do you prefer? High fantasy? Or Dark fantasy? Or a bit of both?
