Looking forward! I'm launching mine in the new year and when I thought about this community, I was like I wish there was a place to subscribe to ones that feel connected to and also get to know those in the community better. Can't wait to see who in the community shares theirs (if they have one) 😀
Friday the 13th - Spooky or Just Another Friday?
It’s Friday the 13th—a day surrounded by superstition, mystery, and maybe a little extra drama. But here’s a hot take: What if it’s actually a day of opportunity? Let’s flip the narrative: - Instead of bad luck, what’s one lucky or positive thing that’s happened to you recently? - Rather than fear, what’s one thing you’re ready to tackle boldly today? Superstition is just a story we tell ourselves—so why not make today the story of overcoming, embracing, or even creating a little magic? 🔮 What’s your take on Friday the 13th? Spooky vibes, or just another awesome day to crush your goals?

@Sue Shier Happy Friday the 13th....late 🤣 I love this perspective of flipping the narrative. Superstition is definitely a story we tell ourselves. One lucky thing that’s happened recently is reconnecting with an old friend, which reminded me how much support and inspiration comes from meaningful relationships. And as for the 13th, I decided to take the day off work and sometimes the boldest thing we can do is give ourselves permission to rest and recharge. For me, it’s a chance to step back, reflect, and tackle life with fresh energy. Plus, fun fact: I actually love odd numbers, so a day like Friday the 13th feels more like a quirky celebration than something to be wary of.
A Quiet Christmas - A Tidal Wave of Grief
Today, I wanted to share an article I wrote on my Substack. Why? Because I think you may have mixed emotions with the upcoming holidays (like I do). I hope this helps in some small way...❤️‍🔥 https://susanshier.substack.com/p/a-quiet-christmas?r=2ykv7n

@Sue Shier I resonate with having mixed emotions during the holiday season. Once my Grandpa passed (over decade ago) the holidays have not been the same. He was the glue that got the family together for the holidays. Additionally, many of my family members are stuck in their own disagreements, so they don't get to together for the holidays as one family like we used to. What I try to do during this time for myself is to bring in the nostalgic holiday traditions that have always brought me joy and in the past and hold space for myself if emotions come up.
Monday Morning Thoughts
As I reflect on this community, I’ve noticed it’s been quiet, and I want to take a moment to call out the elephant in the room. Building a community is a process, and I know it takes time. But I also realize this space is here for YOU and want it to serve your needs. So today, I’m turning the spotlight on you: What do you WANT and NEED from this community? - Are you looking for resources, advice, or inspiration? - Do you want more opportunities to connect through live sessions or shared discussions? - Is something missing that would help this space feel more valuable or engaging for you? If you joined to be polite or just out of curiosity, know that you’re welcome here exactly as you are—whether you want to participate or quietly observe actively. But if something is stopping you from engaging (time, uncertainty, or just not knowing where to start). This space is here for YOU, and I want it to feel like a place where you can show up authentically without pressure or expectations. If you have a moment, drop a comment or send me a message with your thoughts. What’s one thing this community could do to help you feel more connected, supported, or inspired? I’m listening—and I truly appreciate every one of you for being here. 💛

Thank you for addressing this with such openness and care @Sue Shier. I appreciate your efforts to make this community feel meaningful and inclusive. As I reflect on what I need from this space, a few thoughts come to mind: Clarity of Focus Sometimes I find it hard to know where to dive in. A weekly theme, topic, or even a question to spark discussions might help anchor the community. It could be a great way to explore shared challenges, goals, or aspirations. Opportunities for Connection and Collaboration I would love to see more live sessions or interactive formats. The coworking sessions could alternate from productivity hour to “in the moment” connections, and a safe space to share what we are working on and receive feedback from peers (on live calls or in skool). I’ve also been reading Collaboration is the New Competition by Pricilla McKinney, and it really resonates. In a world where we’re often focused on individual success, it’s refreshing to think about how much we can accomplish together. Perhaps this community could explore ways to collaborate more actively whether that’s through brainstorming sessions, skill-sharing opportunities, or even working on small, joint projects. Building something together often creates the strongest bonds. Spotlight on Members Highlighting members’ journeys, challenges, or wins could inspire deeper connections and make it feel more personal. That said, I think you’ve created a truly welcoming space (free of selling) and I appreciate that there’s no pressure to engage. Sometimes even just quietly observing can spark inspiration and insight. Thank you for listening and for the thoughtfulness you bring to this space. I’m looking forward to seeing how we can shape this community together 💛
An Alternate Perspective on Your Niche
Stop asking, What’s my niche? Instead, ask: - What makes my heart race with excitement? - What makes me furious? - What do I believe so deeply that I can’t not talk about it? Go from there....

I love this shift in mindset to focusing on passion and conviction rather than trying to box yourself into a "niche." When you follow what excites you, fuels your fire, and sparks those deep conversations you can’t stop having, the right path often reveals itself naturally. Plus, that kind of authentic connection always resonates more with others ❤️
