@Malte Enright so sprouts study has focused on fire adapted trees particularly Quercus species however she has cauterised wounds on all sorts of trees including fruit trees with similar responses.

@John Novak yup ive started to push this particular when larger than recommended cuts are to be made or a tree is showing poor occlusion from previous pruning cuts
