BIBLE STUDY RECAP
Streets Need Faith – Bible Study (James Series)James 1:2–4 | Counting It All Joy James writes to persecuted believers who lost homes, family, and stability. Instead of complaining, he calls them to rejoice in trials not because pain is good, but because God uses trials to mature our faith. Key Truths - James calls himself a bondservant (doulos) not Jesus’ brother showing humility and surrendered identity. - Joy (chara) is not fake happiness; it’s deep spiritual confidence that God is working. - Trials are refining fire, not punishment. They produce steadfastness (hypomonē) endurance that doesn’t quit. - God uses pressure to make us complete, lacking nothing. Modern Trials Look Like Addiction recovery, broken families, financial pressure, loneliness, mental battles, mockery for faith. Just like prison and rock-bottom seasons God doesn’t waste pain. He forges unshakable faith. Cross-References Romans 5:3–4 | 1 Peter 1:6–7 | 2 Corinthians 12:9 | John 16:33 | Hebrews 12:2 Big Takeaway Joy in trials doesn’t deny pain. It trusts God’s purpose. Your testimony through suffering may be someone else’s breakthrough. Reflection - What trial is God using to refine you right now? - What fears or doubts might He be burning away? - Who can you encourage with your story this week? Weekly Challenge - Personal: Journal daily during a trial what you felt, prayed, and learned. - Evangelistic: Share James 1:2–4 with one struggling person this week. God doesn’t break His people. He builds them.

A somewhat recent trial has been at my job. I kept saying I was in spiritual warfare which is only partially true. I switched my mindset and started to not only exercise my God given authority to war in the spirit against demonic activity but I was like let me pause. God revealed he is wanting to increase my fruit and refine my character deeper in him! This year I’m going DEEPER. It was that scripture!!! I am counting it all joy cuz I know God is giving me the strength to endure the trial. I stopped complaining to people and started to thank God for my job as well. As for the bondservant 🙌🏻 This is timely!! I recently repented for placing my calling as my identity. I was so excited to be walking in my calling that I was humbled that I’m his bondservant and that’s it at the end of the day. I agree there’s a time and a place for the Title out of honor and is Biblical. How quickly I forgot but his grace is sufficient ! My calling isn’t my identity!! I am a daughter in Christ. Jesus was both humble and meek. I desire to stay low. I can relate. I don’t like attention on me never did. It’s not something I want but it’s something that comes with it. I don’t care about any of it. I truly just wanna please my father in heaven. Thanks for this word tonight and community here!
No study tonight
The past week has been very busy for me and I need rest. Therefore we will kick back off Friday with the Bible studies! We must prioritize rest and use wisdom with the work we do!

START THE WEEK BREAD
Scripture (ESV): “Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 Devotional: A new week doesn’t begin with hustle it begins with surrender. Before schedules fill up, before pressure and expectations speak, God invites you to place the entire week in His hands. Commitment isn’t just asking God to bless your plans; it’s letting Him shape them. This week will try to pull you in many directions. Voices will compete for your focus. But clarity comes when your first move is obedience, not activity. When your work is committed to the Lord, even interruptions become assignments and delays become direction. You don’t need to carry this week alone. God is not asking you to strive harder He’s asking you to trust deeper. Prayer: Father, I place this entire week before You. My work, my conversations, my decisions, and my rest. Align my plans with Your will and establish what You desire to build. Help me walk in faith, not pressure. Amen. Reflection: What part of this week do I need to place back into God’s hands instead of trying to control? Go into this week grounded, focused, and led. God is faithful to guide what you commit to Him.
