I've just listened to Mark's latest talk on YouTube. I have noticed the supermarkets are not selling meat (not that I buy from them). Their fridges are empty. Notices say the issue is down to the heat and fridge breakdowns. I know their is a bigger picture to this. Don't be surprised if there is less protein esp. meat for sale. It takes something significant to happen then the establishment bring in the changes. Maybe the people will start to wake up or will it be too late. We need to keep growing our own and support the farmers.
The majority of my tomatoes are green with a few slowly turning from orange to red. Is this because it is so hot? I was recommended to put nets up around the tomato plants to protect them from receiving so much heat. I'm unsure if this will help! Any tips?
There are exceptions - check them out on your water company website. I found this on mine, so despite a hosepipe ban from tomorrow, where I live, I am able to continue to use a hosepipe if I wish.
I’ve never kept bees 🐝 and a few weeks ago I was kindly offered 5 hives 1 of them was had bees in. Now I have no fixed abode so I donated 2 of the hives to @Andrew Munro and sent the other 3 to a friend in Somerset. Since then I’ve ended up on my friends small holding with the bees in Somerset running the vegetable gardens. So this week I’ve been playing with honey lots of honey as the hive’s although they had no bees were full of honey. So here is a few pics of my last few days 😊
