Guided By Spirit, Grounded in Purpose
This brief clip of Teju (Chief Aikulola) brings back so many memories. It was taken at a luxury hotel during lunch on our final day in Nigeria. She treated us to lunch. Since her Ifa initiation in December, Teju has taken steady steps forward. She formed Blooms and Botanical as an LLC. She built a beautiful website with support from Chris Connelly. She became a cryptocurrency owner. She stayed committed to learning. She deepened her spiritual practice. She continued to show up in service. This is a reminder that you don’t have to do everything at once—just take the next aligned step. What’s one small but intentional move you’re making right now?

Black Aviation History in the Making
So proud of Lorenzo and Stan McDuffie for a major breakthrough with the FAA āœˆļøšŸ”„ Lorenzo is a member of the King’s Circle, and his company, SunEx Aviation, has officially received a Part 135 acceptance letter from the Federal Aviation Administration. This means SunEx Aviation is now formally recognized to provide air passenger and air cargo services — a huge milestone in the aviation industry. What makes this even more powerful: Lorenzo and Stan are among the very few Black-owned aviation schools in the world. And this didn’t happen overnight. The FAA application process began four years ago. Four years of consistency, resilience, and unwavering belief. This is a powerful reminder to all of us: Never give up on your dreams Go all in Stay committed, even when the process is long and challenging: Alongside running his company, Lorenzo has played a major role in helping to build the King’s Circle ecosystem. He consistently pours into others. And the impact doesn’t stop there. Lorenzo and Stan will also be working with the King’s Circle / Across the King’s River Foundation to develop an aviation program for the next generation of pilots. This program will not only teach the technical skills of aviation but will also ground students in African spirituality and Black feminist thought — shaping pilots who are skilled, conscious, rooted, and purpose-driven. This is how legacy is built. Excellence, culture, and community—moving together. Truly honored and blessed to have Lorenzo with us. Let this win inspire someone today šŸ™Œ

The Mother Is Calling: Why Ethiopia Calls Us Home
What a wonderful, expansive talk by Alicia Elias on why we should all do our best to come to Ethiopia. She took us on a journey through: The rich and ancient history• The legacy of resistance against colonialism The cuisine The coffee, the culture, spirit, and depth of the people So much to unpack. Alicia also shared her own story — growing up in Trinidad, discovering an early love for math, and coming to see math as a sacred, universal language that connects us beyond borders, accents, and backgrounds. That love has grown into a powerful vision: building a math center in Ibadan, Nigeria, as a space for learning, liberation, and future-building. And then she said something that lingered in the room: ā€œEthiopia is the ancient mother.ā€ And truly — the mother is calling us home. Not just to a place on the map, but to memory, to excellence, to curiosity, to responsibility, and to possibility. Grateful for voices like this that remind us who we are, where we come from, and what we’re here to build.

Honoring Ines Tola—Music, Roots, and Community
I came across a beautiful YouTube video of our very own Ines Tola performing one of her original songs. Her people are from Guadeloupe, the Caribbean island that inspired my book Meditations Across the King’s River Her work is a magical blend of Gwoka, soul, nu-jazz, blues, and world music. Her Creole words, melodies, and rhythms create lush, dreamlike sonic landscapes. She was also one of the very first founders of the King’s Circle, and it makes me so happy to support artists and creators and business owners here. Take a moment to listen, reflect, and share your love below. Let’s continue to honor and uplift one another. šŸ¤ What comes to you as you listen to her music and watch her perform? What words of encouragement do you have for her in this season?

🌿 Financial Healing: Why your "New Year" 2026 hasn't actually started yet
Have you ever felt frustrated because your January financial resolutions aren't "blooming" yet? There is a biological and spiritual reason for that. In our recent session with Rahkim Sabree, a financial therapist and author of Overcoming Financial Trauma, for a deep dive into the mind-body-soul connection to our money. This wasn't a conversation about spreadsheets or how to financial basics...it was a conversation about healing. Some of the key highlights from the session are below. šŸ•’ Stop Fighting Nature’s Rhythm Nature’s New Year doesn't start in January; it starts in the Spring. - Winter is the season of the "Bulb": A time for dormancy, rest, reflection, and conservation of energy. - Preparation over Pressure: Activity is happening inside the bulb, even if it isn't visible yet. Use this time for research and planning so you can hit the ground running when Spring arrives. 🧬 Healing Ancestral Financial Trauma Rahkim introduced the concept of Financial Epigenetics. - For the Black community, our ancestors were once the actual currency of this country. - That historical trauma can live in our DNA, leading to a "survival mode" where wealth feels immoral or threatening. - Healing means moving from Survival Mode to Thriving Mode. šŸ›‘ Are you "Financial Fawning"? Many of us stay in toxic environments because we have been socialized to suppress our true selves just to secure a check. Rahkim defines this as Financial Fawning. True freedom comes from identifying which pillar drives you: Power, Safety, or Freedom. šŸ”„ The Power of the "Offering" Rahkim shared a powerful personal story about losing his home to a fire exactly 30 days before his book launch. By listening to his intuition, he was able to save his dog and find a new sense of purpose through the loss. He reminds us: "There is no power without offering. And the greater the offering, the greater the power received." šŸ“½ļø WATCH THE FULL SESSION: I’ve uploaded the full video of this profound discussion below.

@Lorenzo McDuffie your point is valid - investors sometimes use their money to exploit others . However , as an investor/trader in the stock market, and cryptocurrency I encourage you to explore investing. In my opinion it’s about continuity - your money continues to grow which can be used to assist others.
