I absolutely loved that you asked that because I have recently made a list: - overthinking too many things that don't matter - lack of planning - thinking it's a matter of luck - self-sabotage especially by thinking that it's the lack of money that stops them - self-sabotage especially by thinking that it's the lack of ....... [insert anything there] that stops them - thinking too big at inception and disregarding the value of MVP/starting small - listening and believing online gurus/expert/family/friends/their MIL/FIl/BIL and similar (SAD BUT JUST TRYING TO BE UPFRONT) - believing that having a business is easy - believing that having a business is easier than finding a job, they can't find a job, so plan B is starting a business - blaming their failure to launch on things like: - I can't find a technical co-founder - I can't find investors - doing it for the money - doing it for bragging rights - saying stuff like: - work smart not hard (YOU SHOULD WORK HARD ALWAYS EVEN IF IT SEEMS - EASY) - multiple streams of income - passive income (great but this isn't right away at times) - failing to realize that they need to bring to the table at least domain expertise, but they want to enter a business that they don't know anything about P.S.: it's not just first time entrepreneurs, it's most unsuccessful entrepreneurs
