Steam vs Wash
Last post today!! Doily itself is complete! I prefer to steam silk over washing. Next up is motifs. I like daisies for this light blue background! What do you think?

One day in a project!
Have a nice base building! Trying to decide if I go for a scarf or a smaller table runner. I may do the runner for the sake of the first project that can be completed quickly. Working with this solid thread is lovely! Buttery soft.

Dry blocking
We are almost there!! Silk requires great care. If it is clean you can pin the doily dry and then steam it to lock it in place. This way you won’t damage your work agitating it. If you do need to wash silk use Luke warm or cold and a detergent made for silk. I will be doing a course on blocking because it is that important. Here is a sneak peek!!
